Currently it's only visa Apple devices, but they will be doing Android devices 'soon' and a universal windows application soon, so that should open it up to being fully online as such.
I guess they're just getting the technology right slowly, rather than open the flood gates and it be a disaster. Good for them, and if the rates remain good, then hopefully they'll do well.0 -
I have not read the details.
Do they only allow people to access it from Mobile platform ???
If so then they probably have not aware that some people do not like or difficult (or cannot) access the bank from mobile devices.
I think they probably have (sic) aware of this but have chosen an operating model based on mobile only anyway. For instance, the people with disability
I'm not an expert but I'm given to understand that many of "the people with disability" find technology to be an important enabler in their day to day lives rather than something that they're incapable of interacting with.people with fat finger ...
I do not know but Is there any breach of Disability Discrimination Act 1995 here ??
I don't think having fat fingers is a recognised disability.old people
I believe old people to be capable of using modern technology. Suggesting that they cannot is more discriminatory IMO.people who do not have do not likr mobile devices etc ...
These people are perfectly free to not use the bank.0 -

2.2% fixed for 2 years works for me. I rather expect the current account interest rates to collapse à la Santander pretty soon.
It took several months for my invite to arrive so anyone applying now - don't hold your breath.
Given all the launch hype, pretty unimpressed so far tbh.Ethical moneysaver0 -

Just spoke to Kate from Atom she confirmed that they are still trialing their software for ANDROID and the 10k limit( for now ) per customer can be made up by multiple accounts up to that limit , e.g 5 x 2k
The rate sounds fine by me - a fat fingered self P.C taught wrinkly teenager aged 63 😫0 -

Well I've just entered my code for Atom Bank, there are 3 levels of security, 6 digit access code, a photograph of your face and a voice recognition.
Plumped for a 2yr fixed rate and have a little while to fund it.
I wonder how long they will hold the offer open at this rate?0 -

Not really three levels, they are either/or. Gave up on the 'blinking' facial recognition. Too hit & miss.Ethical moneysaver0 -
