Hi all,
Completely new to forums, so please, bear with me.
I have today received a PCN from Civil Enforcement Ltd advising me I need to pay the notice £60 within 14 days or £100 within 28 days (in accordance with the parking terms and conditions clearly stated on signage.
Incident date 14/07/16
PCN Issue date: 11/08/16
After googling the company to determine legitimacy I'm now at a lost as to what to do. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, OK, firstly please explain the circumstances, have you read the newbies sticky thread yet, please do so.
Is it a retail park, where is it and are you local to it0 -
beamerguy - yes, read the sticky thread
Not a retail park, it's an old car park to one shop (no longer in use that I can tell, will check tonight) and yes, local to me.0 -

Hi beamerguy,
I was issued the PCN 'in accordance with the parking terms and conditions clearly stated on signage'
I'm looking to try and find an email address for them (as opposed to posting a letter) the following which I found on the sticky post
Date
Dear Sirs
Re: PCN No. ....................
I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car and I will complain to the landowner about the matter if it is not cancelled.
I believe that your signs fail the test of 'large lettering' and prominence, as established in ParkingEye Ltd v Beavis. Your unremarkable and obscure signs were not seen by the driver, are in very small print and the terms are not readable to drivers before they park.
Further, I understand you do not own the car park and you have given me no information about your policy with the landowner or on site businesses, to cancel such a charge. So please supply that policy as required under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. I believe the driver may well be eligible for cancellation and you have omitted clear information about the process for complaints including a geographical address of the landowner.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. You must either rely on the POFA 2012 and offer me a POPLA code, or cancel the charge.
I have kept proof of submission of this appeal and look forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,0 -

You can also send it to yourself to show that it was received without a problem.
We still need to know the details. Forget what they say about their signage, it is probably crap and doesn't met the BPA CoP requirements.
Was this for an overstay, parking without a marked bay, parking in a disabled bay, not paying/paying enough in a P& D car park, or any other reason?
Also, did the driver get a windscreen PCN?
Have you complained to the landowner/retail manager yet?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Hi,
All it says is Parking Charge Notice at ... on... 'in accordance with the parking terms and conditions clearly stated on the signage' with photographic evidence and times.
Does this help?0
