    im not a gamer so play a few command and conquer style games that arent taxing on the computer.

    i upgraded from a hd4870 to a hd78** (cant remember the exact). it's been really good with the resources, it's slightly better but it makes a lot less noise and uses less energy.

    the newer one is a more powerful card so used more power at peak but idles a lot better.

    hd4870 was a dog and idle was very high. on post it would make a monsterous fan noise, ridiculously loud.
