If only you could get round the Bxxx cable hanging from it, so everyone who gets in the car says "Whats that wire for?" car makers should provide a small socket at the top & camera makers a short lead with a plug that fits that socket., oh and at night they are not much cop, unless you pay a lot.(Yes I do know you can wire it in, but most people wont want to do this.)

Totally agree - it's like car makers are ignoring the fact people use dashcams. I don't know why they don't install them. For a £30 cost, they could charge it as a £200 option and I reckon most would pay.

Most cars have at least a reversing camera these days, so why not a front facing one and a little recording unit in the glove box?

The mobius dash cam isn't perfect at night but it's certainly good enough to prove fault in an accident and that's £50

Watch this and tell me the camera isn't good enough to be used as evidence at night

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I use an SJ4000, don't need any wires, it runs on its own battery power for around 90 mins, which useful for leaving turned on in supermarket carparks.

My next dashcam setup will have front+rear cameras, because i'm increasingly finding the need for a rear camera.

Who said anything about plates? I said you could use it to prove fault. If someone pulls out in front of you, the camera couldn't see the plates due to the 90 degree angle even in daylight but the camera proves what happened. The only case it would ever be an issue would be a hit and run and even then reading plates wouldn't necessarily help as they could be fake or stolen or RK refuses to name the driver etc

You'll struggle reading number plates with anything at night.

It is one more bit of faff to set up everytime you want to go somewhere; begins to make taking the bus simpler and start to look actually appealing.

The only appealing thing about the bus (or train) is not having to deal with idiots on the roads (who seem to be breeding exponentially).

Just a few days ago, one idiot decided it was his job to make everyone drive at 35mph in a 60 limit, actively blocking people from overtaking, because "the road is too bendy and i'm trying to keep everyone safe". An actual quote from the pole jockey when approached at the next set of traffic lights 8 miles down the road.

So yeah the bus is starting to look like the only stress free way to get to work in the mornings.

It's weird having one at first as it can be distracting and a bit embarrassing.

Don't think you should have the screen running whilst you are driving.
ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.
