I know it's not a Samsung battery but I have been using an Anker battery on my S4 for over 2 years with no problems if that is any help..

That was going to be my recommendation as well, I've used Anker batteries a few times and they've worked fine (although don't support quick charge on the Note 4, don't know about others)

The other recommendation I was going to make was to buy the battery with a battery charger as Samsung offered these for some batteries and there doesn't seem to be any fake plus you get a handy charger for the battery, I've bought them for the S4 and Note 4 but can't see one for the S4 Mini unfortunately.

    They aren't cheap.

I needed a new battery for my Galaxy S4 last year. I've always been told not to buy generic ones, so I went straight to the Samsung website and got one cheaper than I was expecting - it was about £20. Arrived very quickly too.

I don't know which you're referring to as both are pretty cheap, the Anker batteries are around a tenner and the genuine Note battery was around £20 which was well worth the money to get one that supports quick charge, NFC and the added bonus of a charger.

I mean the genuine charger and battery combo is not cheap.

Extra Battery Kit (Galaxy S4 mini) £21.59 but not available.

    £49 on Amazon.
  • I need a battery for my laptop, but Samsung stopped selling them when it was only 2 years old. Given the choice between using one that catches fire like a hoverboard or using the computer on mains only I'll opt for the latter.
