I have a Samsung S4 mini which is about 3 years old now and originally battery is no longer all that good.
I went on to Amazon to buy a new battery and am really shocked at all the feedback on the 'so called' genuine batteries.
Any ideas where can I get a genuine battery at a fair price?
Many thanks

I was looking at batteries costing £16 on Amazon. It is stated they are genuine but out of 500 feedbacks - 20% complain they are not genuine and not all that good.
There is no customer feedback with the above link. Oops - just scrolled down and seen the feedback!0 -
Bear in mind that there is more than one version of your battery, so search via Part No.
There is a three pin version and a four pin version, as illustrated here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-B500BE-Original-Battery-Packaging/dp/B00YCS9B0G
My question is still what price would you consider reasonable.0 -
if you can't trust amazon you can't trust anyone except samsung and a price of £25. the genuine batteries also include a nfc antennae which fake batteries don't"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Even the cheap ones claim to have a NFC inductor. Such as this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-1900mAh-Battery-Galaxy-Mini-Black/dp/B00D9R2JA0
Can understand why the OP's head would spin.
They only thing that I would suggest in that case is to bypass the third party sellers and choose to buy direct from Amazon. But, make sure that you purchase the correct model, as there are at least three variations.0 -
They will usually not be as expensive as you would expect. Also, less hassle in returning if things go wrong.
Don't always trust Amazon (or any) feedback.at face value. Some people are cons or clueless and will write negs instead of admit their own ignorance.0 -

I wouldn't ignore the pictures of the exploded battery....I'm guessing that is what the OP saw.0 -

i went to a vodaphone shop to enquire about a replacement battery for note 3 after my battery died suddenly when out. i was told they don't sell batteries but recommended a independant in the town centre. i have tried 2 x replacement batteries (£10 each) sofar and nfc didn't work on either"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
I did write 'claim'. Meaning that it's difficult for the OP to be sure which is genuine before ordering.0

Buying mobile phone batteries online is a total minefiled.
I have bought a fair few that claim to be genuine but it is quite apparent that they werent.
For your model, Samsung themselves seem to be sold out, and i would say buying one online from some mobile supplier is only going to end in tears.
If it were me, i would possible look at one of these http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/duracell-replacement-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-smartphone-battery-n40ec?cmpid=ppc&gclid=CMWBxZ3_ws4CFUK4GwodeHkEZg
From Maplin, whilst arent the cheapest store in town, have a decent reputation for quality, and although it isnt genuine samsung, it is made by Duracell and has the same power ratings as the original, so i guess you could trust that too..
Doesnt seem to have the NFC antenna though0
