Had a blast at the festival
Good food, good friends, good music = a good weekend. Was happy to get back to a proper mattress last night though!
Came back with £28 of the £50 I took - tbh the money I spent was on expensive hippy fruit juices and artisanal fudge
Back to work today, and decided to try and get all the spending I needed to do this week done at once, in order to maximise the number of NSDs this month.
It's not looking too bad, funds wise, for the rest of the month, though I have a work night out next Wednesday (will budget £30 for that and hope for change), and going to meet a friend at pizza express later in the month, but will use a 2 for 1 voucher for that :money:
The monster that is Christmas Do's loomed its ugly head at the office today - will probably have at least 2 to go to, so should probably start putting some pennies aside now - December is always an expensive month, no matter how much you budget!Overdraft: [STRIKE]£715[/STRIKE] £220

Aw so glad you enjoyed it & well done on coming back with some cash.
Good work on the budget aswell, I need to sort mine out not looked at it since last week.
I am in charge of sorting my team night out, we booked that last week.
I will probably have another 1 or 2 to go to so it is going to be something that I need to budget for way in advance otherwise I will be staying in for the whole month of December :rotfl:

Apparently it's tradition that the newest person to the team organises the night out - thankfully someone else has joined since I did - I hate organising Xmas do's!!Overdraft: [STRIKE]£715[/STRIKE] £220

Oh is it!
I just do it because I love organising stuff, list & spreadsheets - I am a strange-ling :rotfl:

Can't decide whether to do a balance transfer on my credit cards - I paid £22 in interest between them this month (As an aside - rather shamefully I don't really understand interest - how come I paid more last month on a smaller balance than the previous month when the interest rate is the same?!) BUT it seems complicated and scary
Also I'm worried of getting rejected for the amount I need (c. £1200) given the obscene allowances on my current credit cards (£2900 and £2000). Might ask on the CC board
However, if it's going to save me money each month...Overdraft: [STRIKE]£715[/STRIKE] £220

I just did a balance transfer to save on interest.
I would say go for it if you can.
I think the interest is always from the previous month?!
Oh god who am I kidding, I have no idea :rotfl:

was it relatively simple to do?! Like 'please take these two balances onto your one card, thank you and bye'?
And at this point I'm just going to accept that gremlins decide how much interest gets charged each month! I can accept that!Overdraft: [STRIKE]£715[/STRIKE] £220

Yeah, got an email from the to say I had an offer went online & input the card details & amount & the balance was transferred the next day!
So simple.
Yeah I gave up trying to work it out, gave myself a major headache trying to work it out on a spreadsheet, I would not suggest it!

Did the balance transfer :T It was so easy - much easier than paying my MBNA bill (which is unnecessarily faffy, IMO). Decided to go half way and transfer my MBNA balance onto my Barclaycard, at 0% until 2018. The interest on the existing balance is lower, and it's a piece of cake to pay as I just do it through the app for my current account.
Doing OK spend-wise so far this week, but will still have to watch the pennies to get through to the end of the month. I may end up with 60p left in my purse by the 30th, just like last month, but at least my bank balance will be healthier

So, five weeks ago (probably on the eve of my LBM), I decided to put £10 into a national l0ttery account and play 5 weeks of €uromillons. Last night was the last drawer, and I never had any intentions of continuing after that.
I woke up to an email today saying that there was important information about last night's ticket. Logged in, and I'd won £2.40 :rotfl: . There was a slight temptation to use that £2.40 to play another game, but that's how they get you, so I withdrew my opulent winnings to my bank account instead, and spent them on stationery for uni :money:Overdraft: [STRIKE]£715[/STRIKE] £220
