Well, visitors have gone - just in time for the sun to come out and the cloud to clear, typical.

I've been to the tip, onto the shops and now home with a bacon roll and a cup of tea. Having visitors is both draining and wonderful. Think it's the late nights which get me as I'm an early riser and haven't got the ability to lie in, so annoying.

Now I'll sort out a book to read and get my head stuck in it.

    Hugs to all.
  • Afternoon (((((((((( hugs )))))))))) if you need one. Happy birthday Elona, I hope you have a really nice day.

Nipped out to the village shop to pick up the TV choice, OH has been bugging me about fetching it. I left him in bed whilst I went.

Had a cuppa and then got him washed and dressed. he had is lunch and is now back in bed for his siesta. My step son is coming over this afternoon to sit with him whilst I do some much needed grocery shopping. Need to go to Morrison and then Lidl on the way home. I was going to do an order from Morrison but its a minimum £40, I just do not need that much shopping.

Laundry out and has dried, in, folded and away, oe good job , jobbed.

Red Cross were supposed to be bringing something for OH this morning, they have not turned up....... whats new.

It was the district nurses that said our carpets are too thick for the walkers, I will see what the OT says when she comes to assess him. He does have a stick which is a help, especially when he wahts to reach something on the floor!!

    Hi everyone,

Lainey, I'm so sorry about your mum's diagnosis. I think she's wise to want to carry on as normal for as long as she can, I'm sure it helps.

Csarina, I hope things get better soon.

Hester, I'm glad your visitor is only going to be short term. It reminds me of the time DH invited a work colleague and his wife to stay with us for several months. DD was 3 and DS was abut 4 weeks old and I had a total meltdown so that he had to rescind the invitation - I didn't feel the least bit guilty!

    Happy birthday Elona.

A quiet week here although we had a lovely meal at Auberge du Lac on Thursday to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. Apart from that I have been making baby quilts for friends grandchildren.

:bdaycake: Elona hope you are having a great day.
We have had a little better news on DSs moving, new exchange date is Tuesday, when they have a written copy of their mortgage offer, but not holding our breath! If they try holding him to ransome then, as has been happening to some recently, I take no responsibility for DSs reaction.

At a 40th birthday do tonight for my dear Niece in Law, could be interesting as SiL is not speaking to us (no idea why) who was threatening not to go if we went, but was told we are going so make her mind up, and DB said we are going for the birthday girl, hope she behaves, for I start nothing, but certainly will finish it!

Been having a good clean up as DGD, DS ,& DDIL coming tomorrow. X

Look after yourself Csarina not long since you were not good.

    ((Hugs)) Lainey

((Hugs)), spoons, positive vibes all round, grab a handful.

    Take care everyone. DG

Wasn't planning to post today, but I've just popped my headround the door to send Lainey a virtual (((HUG))). Probably not much help in the grand scheme of things, but I couldn't just read'n'run.

    Hi all,

Sending hugs to Csarina and Lainey & family( really sorry to read about your Mums diagnosis Lainey)

A fairly grey day here,no Spanish plume here yet.DH has just finished putting the artificial turf down in the front garden-it looks great, had a few compliments already. Its certainly an improvement on the skips and builders rubble of the past 12 months.I'm glad I planted up the side border a while ago instead of waiting till now as it really looks established now.

We were also at a 40th birthday last night, our friends nephew who we have known since birth. His wife organised it as a surprise & his face was a picture. It wasnt too late a night and DS1 picked us up.

Not sure what we are doing later but hope everyone has the best day they can,and Happy birthday wishes to Elona-hope its a good one xx

Happy Birthday elona, enjoy your surprise!

Lainey, sorry to hear of your Mum's diagnosis, such a hard time for you all.

Just back from a night away in Lochgoilhead. It was a lodge booked for neighbours/friends work but the work was cancelled and they could still use the lodge. Lovely place but boy did it rain! Quite nice not having any phone or internet too.

Dry here for now and the washing is on the line, it will partly dry till I need to bring it in or it rains again.

DD coming for the night, need to nip out to get something for our tea. We are supposed to be going to the Isle of Cumbrae tomorrow for our annual cycle round the island, will have to see what the weather is like tomorrow before we decide weather to go or not.

Good to hear from you Donny, sorry there's so much grief with the house.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX
  • Oh Yay, I have been out. OK just shopping for food but I was out. Step son came and stayed with his Dad. When I got home we had a house full, chap there putting a guard on the bed so OH cannot fall out of bed. Our neighbours had called in to bring us some apples and also see how OH was. Step son was kept busy making tea.

Every one has gone now, OH has had his injection and I am just cooking supper.

Prom tonight is Gershwin, posh frock and union jack at the ready!!
