    Afternoon all :)
Smells like a chutney factory in here again today, as I decided to make the courgette and tomato chutney that I had planned today, instead of tomorrow. So, lots of courgettes, a big bowl of tomatoes and a few rubbery apples from the fruit bowl have gone into that :D No doubt more courgettes and tomatoes are lying in wait for me in the garden, though :rotfl:

Went to the local car boot sales this morning, picked up a few bits to sell on in my ebay shop and sales unit, plus some nice soap and handwash for much less than boring supermarket stuff :)

Filled and decorated the cake I made last night (just a sponge cake which I have filled with jam, plus some cream approaching its date)

Found the two items sold on ebay last night (bizarrely, many of my sales occur at night - obviously my ebay shop attracts the sort of people who shop for vases and teapots nocturnally :rotfl:). As soon as they are paid for I will pack them, hopefully ready for posting tomorrow morning :)

Listed a couple more items :)

Sorted out a box of bits for my sales unit tomorrow - I always try to have a change around and put some new things in after the weekend.

Leftover soup eaten for lunch :)

Bit of paperwork done for business

About to make sweet and sour pork with the big pack of YS pork steaks I bought yesterday, enough for at least 2 days there :)

Watering still to do, hopefully just the French beans tonight

    Also dog walk

Pick anything that needs picking (the tomatoes and courgettes are lining up as we speak )

DD has just phoned and asked me to babysit tonight, so there goes my early night :( Though they are never terribly late back to be fair.

Didn't do a grocery shop this week, only bought bread and milk and am cooking from fridge/ freezer/ store cupboard. I tend to have a siege mentality and keep enough supplies in to feed an army but a power cut earlier this week reminded me that fridges and freezers are not infallible and that even frozen and tinned food has a maximum storage time.

So the plan is to work through the stores so that I have space to buy reduced items and freeze them. I'm also going to need space for blackberries. plums, apples and veg.

Checked the electricity and phone bills online and also negotiated a loyalty discount on husband's mobile phone contract.. only £2 a month but every little helps.

I also checked the present cupboard (I get things in sales throughout the year so that there's always something for birthdays, weddings, raffles and, of course, Christmas) .Checking against the list I think I'm pretty much there for Christmas 2016.

Total money spent this weekend £0.00.

    Thanks Legomum.

The sales after Christmas and in the summer were great this year and I keep a list of who I'm needing to buy for , plus I keep an eye out for things that can be used for little gifts for office birthdays or leaving dos or for when someone is asking for raffle prizes. Saves a fortune and I confess to gloating over the increasingly well stocked shelves of the gift cupboard as the year goes on.
  • Feeling a bit better, but I am wiped. Whatever this bug is then it has definitely floored me. I've had another day of doing very little to be honest. I can't be on my feet for too long without feeling like I might die :p I sent the boys out shopping with a very detailed list. It should have been less than £50 (we were approaching a toilet roll emergency so I couldn't wait until I felt better) but the boys spent £94 in total - buying off list. Still I can't complain because I'm just not up to doing it for myself at the moment.
    Today I have
    _pale_ PAD to vet fund
    _pale_ napped
_pale_ washing up and a load of washing
_pale_ managed to eat some eggs and toast
_pale_ made real progress with my crochet blanket - just the border to complete
    _pale_ napped some more
    _pale_ watched the Olympics

I really must think about pulling myself round and starting to get something done. Like sorting out my Christmas cupboard and wool stash because I can barely get the doors closed. :p

    That's a good problem to have :)

    Feel better soon
