Do I have any recourse with a terrible internet provider?

Aside from the usual slower than advertised broadband speeds and occasional outages Tentel also managed to mess up the following:

1. Cut our internet two days before the agreed home move date.

2. Got the wrong address for the home move despite repeating the address four times…

3. Promised a dongle to make up for the problem and was told to call the next day to arrange it. Called the next day and they told me they could no longer give me one because they were “all out.” So why keep me on the phone for an hour talking to various mangers etc. when you didn’t have any? What a terrible made up excuse.

4. Repeated problems with the home move so I had to wait for a new router etc.

After all this I informed them I was leaving. They will stop my internet on Monday when I’ve arranged for my new provider to take over. But I am still paying for another 30 days because I was on a rolling month contract.

However I was wondering if there’s any way I can at least reclaim that month? I tried asking but they refused. I feel given the issues it’s the least they can do.

You can ask but you are not entitled to a refund .You would need to go through the complaints procedure to get a refund .
