Well my house is now clean, most of the laundry sorted, uniforms returned to owners, I have used up half a jar of christmas preserve in a sponge pudding. Well, it called itself christmas preserve, really it is small pieces of stem ginger set as a jam. It was the only thing i could think to do with it. Will cover it with custard and feed to kids. Also made a small chocolate cake to ice and will stick a slice in their lunchboxes tomorrow.Where on earth did half term go? Wish a 'normal' week went that fast.Only 7 days left of February, I will probably only need the odd bit of salad veg this week - menus planned.none of it is very interesting but will use up a few more bits and bobs from the pantry - hopefully the last of the black eye beans will go too. I have just boiled them up so they are out of the pantry and I do not want them to be hiding in the fridge or freezer forevermore instead.DH is now the same weight as me, he has been dieting for a week. I absolutely hate how quickly that man can lose weight seemingly just by thinking about it. But oddly pleased for him. Oh well, if we were all the same it would be boring.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I dropped the kids at school this morning, popped into the f/bank to make my apologies, and came home to bed. Apart from the school runs, and drinking lems1p every 4 hours, I have been asleep the whole time. I am no better than at 6am when I got up.Made a mock chicken and sweetcorn puff pastry pie for tea, with green beans, carrots and peas, and the ginger pudding and custard that did not get eaten yesterday. I had tiny portions so hopefully the weight loss will continue.DS2 is still being a total twerp, he has informed us he does not love us, he does not like us, and is choosing not to be in our company. Charming! To be honest this has been going on for the last 3 or 4 years. He is going to mess up his schooling if he carries on with this attitude that he does not have to do anything he does not want to do I am at a loss as to what to do with him . There is nothing you can do to make him do his homework . He takes passive resistance to a whole new level. To be honest it is a 3 day battle to even get the boy in the bath! He takes bone idle and lazy to a whole new level. It is not looking good for his GCSEs and he has already announced his intention to not get a job, ever, so why would he need any. I don't even know where to begin with his nonsense.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hope you start to feel better soon, but I doubt that having to deal with DS2 is helping you very much
I'm assuming that you HAVE let him know what it will be like to have no job, no money, by removing anything of any value from his vicinity?
If he's not doing homework then he doesn't need a computer (or anything else electronic) I'm also assuming that all treats, money etc have been stopped?
To be honest he sounds like a total nightmare, and even allowing for hormone changes etc it seems to be rather extreme. Does the school comment on his behaviour (good v bad) or is he saving all his pent up angst for home?
Maybe the school has a Counsellor he will talk to, although I feel as though I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs here
Anyway sending you my support, and hoping that things improve. XXI Believe.....

All computerised everything has been removed, he has been told he can do his homework on the desktop. Even his phone has gone. He claims he was asleep at suppertime, although dh called him and he answered, so it got clingfilmed and put in the fridge, he came down 3 hrs later.School say his behaviour is fine - well, he is not disruptive - but he does the bare minimum work, but it is always in on time.He does things for a reaction - so I do not react - I can read him like a book - and I wait until he is more reasonable to talk to him.Poor dh, it is like a red rag to a bull. If we had a skip, he would have put him in it already, and dh is the mildest mannered of all men. DS2 will grow up eventually. He is just enjoying playing the role of the poor, hard done by, second child, victim. He would have preferred being an only child - he says. Twit. He is not unhappy. He is just a cocky swine utterly secure in my love for him and acting out cos he can. He is an entitled little twerp and it is getting boring.
