    doobie doobie doooobie doobie doooo!

Oh yes, it is that time again! I can tell you all about my daily interest being £4.39 (down tuppence a day from last month)and my monthly interest being £136.39 and after a little jiggling and juggling, as of this morning I now owe the Bank of Clyde the sum total of...... £100,300.00 (sigh!)but I have a plan, which is to use the child benefit that comes in on Monday, with the Child Tax that comes in on Friday and a little bit extra on the side, to get down to the 9's on Monday 7th January.
I was a busy (bored out of my brain by the end of it) fox this morning, and into the afternoon (yawn) and sorted the car insurances, and breakdown cover for the year - all sat on the recently cleared M&S credit card - and I have the money covered in my other account. So I will clear that too once the bill comes in, in a fortnight and collect M&S points on it, which will keep my kids in hummus for approximately 36 hours.:T Quite a feat sometimes.

My lovely candles are burning, long red shimmery taper ones (ys from last year) my tealights are cheerily flickering (el cheapo Wilko) and I have a rather nice amaretto smelly one on the go as well from t'charity shop.

Blimey it is cold though! Thankful for hot tea and fluffy blankets. Is it me or does it feel like a Friday today?

Tomorrow I need to put cheques into the bank, and buy some major essentials - had to make toad in't'ole tonight as there was no pasta, no bread, no crackers, no green veg, and as it was cold, the thought of coleslaw / pickles and a sausage was unwelcome, so I managed to scrape together 4 potatoes from the pantry - 2 had escaped and were found hiding in a corner, and cut them up and roasted them and served with peas and corn and gravy. Job done.

In theory it was a day for soups, hot chocolate and scones on the sofa. Sadly in reality it was a day of insurance comparison sites, call centres, and a scrappy hot lunch for the kids at 1.45 after I finally got the thing sorted. Feeling like a bad mum. I am however a brilliant mum so that feeling can sod off. :rotfl:Plenty of things to beat myself up about, that is just not one of them. :rotfl:

I am coming toward the end of my postal thing I do, but I seem to have a lot of things to post in the next 2 weeks. The last time they wrote to tell me I was being benched for 6 months, I was back on it full time in less than 6 weeks- guess whoever was taking over was not up to it. The free stamps come in handy for competitions though. Wonder if I will win anything with them. Watch this space. I'll let you know if I do.

I am very aware that school starts back next week and I will miss the tiny blighters when they go back, although I only really see them at feeding times.

The house is lovely and tidy (right up to the back room door) and I am quite happy with most of the house. The back room just does not work. So I need to think about that when the kids are back at school and out of the way and I can do furniture moving about without being sighed at. All beds clean, blazers washed, PE kits returned to owners. i have not missed making lunchboxes. Not once. Not one single morning. Tomorrow I will make them go shopping with me to choose what they want in their packed lunches, and begin 'Operation Fruitbowl':A

Laughing my socks off about Greggs and its vegan sausage roll. All those angry shouting sausage trolls are getting a good New Year Rant on. Greggs still sell the animal one, for goodness sake. Nobody is taking their pastry away. Honestly, the whole fabric of society is being threatened!!! What is the world coming to. :D It's a disgrace!!:rotfl:
