I sent a letter to Vodafone in June this year after being informed about the charges increase. I stated that I wanted to cancel my contract with them and it was sent well within the 30 days required by them. I have since been in touch 4 times about this, but each time I don't get anywhere. Each person fobs me off and says that Vodafone will be in touch shortly. I have registered two complaints so far.
Does anyone know what rights I have in this situation? I requested to cancel, followed their rules for doing so, so surely in theory my contract has ended? I want to know if I really do have to wait to hear from them or if I can just cancel my direct debit etc.
Many Thanks

Well surely you would have received a letter or a phone to confirm you leavingredients the network. I wouldn't cancel the DD unless you want any trouble.0

I haven't received a letter or a phone call from Vodafone about the cancellation. The charges came in on 23rd July so I'm wondering if I can just stop paying for the phone seeing as these charges are the reason I'm cancelling.0

Depends if you want more trouble, if so cancel the direct debit.
Contact the Vodafone rep on here.
Have you tried requesting your pac code ?0

A price increase doesn't necessarily give you a free out. Cancel your direct debit and the 'trouble' will be a wrecked credit history for the next 6 years - apart from being passed to debt collectors.
If you had read the main Vodafone complaints thread you would know that the only response you'll get from Vodafone would be from the WRT.0

If my memory serves me correctly didn't Vodafone contact people who used Out of Bundle things like MMS to say they could terminate their Agreement early as the prices were above the rate of inflation? It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
