N95 - Firmware fault?

Hey all, i have a problem with my N95..

I was using it today at work for about 4 hours none stop when the phone rebooted itself. But it got stuck just after the 'Nokia' name appeared and just displayed a white screen with the backlight on.

I then turned the phone off and back on and it did exactly the same..
I tried another sim in the phone which boooted up the phone but none of the applications worked including messaging, contacts etc they just flashed up and then I was kicked back out to the desktop screen.

I then removed the pin code from my sim using another phone and the phone booted with the original sim but again no apps would load..

Basically I can receive calls and messages and thats about it..

Any idea what the problem is, I've Googled around but no joy..

Firmware is 10.0.018 Orange, updated to the latest version still the same fault..
Just noticed if I press the '#' key the phone just reboots straight away.. :mad:

Is it one for the Nokia Service Center?
I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!

    10. is an old firmware version so you might want to upgrade to the latest which is 12.

    Sorry missed that bit lol. If it helps mine has done it once or twice so its not just yours.

    I'm on my 5th handset now since June...
  • Had mine from T-mobile 2 weeks now, loads of problems to start, battery life, hiss on mp3, freezing up on anything, pulling hair out. rang t-mobile lots grrr..
    Then googled the problems.

    De-Brand, seemed to be the general feeling, so you can install the latest firmware from Nokia,(v12.03) was the Holy Grail. Rang T-mobile to tell them what i was doing and basicly thay said, to go ahead ???? Yes i have it in writing on an email from T-Mobile Customer Relations


    Now N95 dose what it says on the tin. Very happy :beer:
  • 02 sent me 20 quid cos I complained that much, plus they credited my account with £72 for the insurance. MoneySaving or what :)
  • O2 havent released the version 12 firmware yet :(

    Were stuck on 11.x
