Wren kitchens and bathrooms

I recently placed a £17,000+ order for a Wren kitchen.I was so impressed with the service I received I decided to order 3 bathrooms for my new build house. I spent many hours pouring over their website https://www.wrenbathrooms.com to select what I wanted. I made plans to travel a round distance of about 100 miles to go to their Aintree, Liverpool branch to place my order. On 6 August I went on the website and it clearly stated that the items I wanted to order were in stock. I rang the Wren bathrooms number advertised on the bathrooms website 0345 127 7008. I was told that I could order any items advertised on the bathroom website for order and delivery by 31 October 2016. The person I spoke to also told me that there was a 30% discount code on the website. I asked him to show me where this was. He was unable to do so. He then put me through to the Customer Service Department. She took my order over the telephone for the items and told me she would have to email them to the distributor. She would contact me when she had received a reply. The order was for £1,825. I later received a call back saying they were not taking orders for bathrooms. I was extremely disappointed that such a reputable company was advertising falsely and wasting people’s precious time. I made a complaint to Wren and they replied saying they were sorry. I am VERY concerned that they are going through financial difficulty and that their supplier has 'pulled the plug'. I have checked today and they are still advertising on their website saying the items are in stock. THIS DOES NOT LOOK GOOD.

Wall of text. Try breaking it up and people might read it.

Loads of other Wren threads exist here. Why do people do their research AFTER and not BEFORE parting with lots of money?

Yes Wren are fantastic. I recently paid £157,000 for kitchens and bathrooms and am waiting for delivery which I hope will be soon.

Aye - we placed an order for a bathroom from Wren in the spring, planning to have it fitted in the late summer when we'd arranged to house-sit for friends.

Got a letter from them a few weeks ago explaining that they were pulling out of bathrooms completely and if we wanted to cancel, our deposit would be returned with no quibbling and it'd be no problem, but they'd be happy to honour our order as long as we got it fitted before October.

We'd have probably gone ahead if they hadn't completely failed to book the fitters for the week we'd arranged to house-sit. Also, I was aware of the problems many people had experienced with their kitchen projects, but we'd been convinced that the bathroom side of the business had been set up from scratch and wouldn't experience the same issues.

However, with a few more first hand tales of Wren-related woe, their failure to book the fitters when we'd arranged, and the chaotic way the business seems to operate persuaded us to cut & run.

To give them credit, the deposit was back in my account within a few days and we've not lost anything, but they seriously need to sort themselves out.

They would need to be at that price.

Oh dear I've been let down, the delivery never happened. I paid by wire transfer. Do you think I'll get my money back?

All £157,000????? By the most difficult means of getting your money back???? Having looked at your historical posts about Wren am I right in saying this is a P*ss take?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • I have just been online again today and they are STILL advertising the non existent bathrooms claiming they are IN STOCK!
  • My parents went into a branch of Wren to look at Bathrooms and were told that they no longer did them,
  • A kitchen order amounts to £17,000.

    3 bathrooms amount to £1,800.

Seems quite obvious why they would focus their efforts in one area.

Haven't you received your kitchen yet? I hope it works out for you, but you really should read other people's experiences to be pre warned.
