Deals with BT.

Coming to end of BT contract, I would prefer to stay with them, as no issues with my BB.

So I rang them as I had an email a couple of months ago (when their prices increased) saying to ring for a deal when my contract was up, I currently pay £25.odd for BB and LL, the woman said she was "surprised" I was paying so little, I did mention they have even better deals at the min, which she brushed aside, so I said bottom line I would like a deal for the same package for £20, she said no way would they go for that so no point even asking, as their LL alone was £18.99! I had mentioned 2 other providers offering BB for free, but she just kept saying they would never go for a deal at £1.01 for BB.

So, looks like I need to swap, or is it worth trying again as to me £20 for BB seems reasonable when others are doing it for £16.99 or would any recommend Plus net?

And 1 last question, can I start the switch now, with just under a week to go till end of contract,or do I need to wait till the day, to make sure not to get charged extra?

Start the switch BT will may come back with an offer .But looking at the price you are asking for i would say no chance as current best deals are circa £10 BB plus Line Rental .

Your contract does not end as such but moves to a 30 day rolling contract ( new prices ) until termination .

    Yeah thanks, will just swap.

The post office BB cost £16 with LL and £50 cash back, I was considering plus net but they have a £50 turn on fee! Could not find out if the PO have the same fee, guess I'll have to fill in the application to find out.

EDIT they don't but it's a 18 month contract, fRee BB for the first 12 months tho, then £24 for the last 6 for BB & LL.

For anyone interested, managed to get BB & LL for a total of £14.50pm with PO, by paying up front, very pleased, as that's more than £10 a month saving on what I was paying! Oh and the £50 cash back too.
