Best way to pay for hotels in Spain

You could have received an emergency card from Revolut in that time. May have cost £5, but the saving would have been worth it.
In fact you could simply have used Revolut's virtual card(created in minutes) to pay for your hotel on-line, if online payments were possible and then used your Barclaycard for your expenses. Still likely cheaper and more convenient.0 -
You were given the best options by Fun Time in the first reply. Why ask for advice, then ignore it?goldiethedog wrote: »Whats a better option?Evolution, not revolution0 -

1.1356 EUR Euro = 1 GBP for the multi currency cash passport and no fees on spending on card or withdrawing euros from ATM.
Whats a better option?
At about the time you posted that travelex was the best, I changed £100 to just over €116 on my Revolut card0 -
Fun Time had one post and had only joined yesterday. I didnt ignore it just didnt feel it was the best fir when i had 36 hours before i fly.0

I guess most of us can cope with the difference but you asked what is the best and cheapest!0 -

You had more than thirty six hours when he replied and you wrote that you would check Revolut out. I have no idea what one post and joining yesterday had to do with it. The advice was either accurate or it was not.. Plus the £5 MSE bonus would have paid for the emergency card.
Nevertheless, your choice was understandable with only three days to go,. But why not mention that you were leaving on Saturday in the first place? Why do people leave it until the last minute anyway??
I don't want you to feel that we are having a go at you. After all, you are new and It's your money after all.0 -
