Best way to pay for hotels in Spain

Hi, I have hotels booked in Spain and need to pay in Euro's. It's pretty annoying as the holiday cost is now ramped post Brexit.
What's the cheapest way to pay a charge in Euros?
Also best way to take currency abroad at present? I will be needing some cash but happy to use card if it makes more sense
Thanks for any advice

Revolut, if you want to pay right now, as they provide a virtual card as soon as you sign up. Physical card takes a few days from your requesting it.
For an 'on the spot' physical card; Metro Bank.
For a CC; Creation Everyday or Halifax Clarity.0 -
The only credit card i currently have is a Barclaycard Platinum.
I'm thinking pay the hotels on credit card and any large meal bills and then use Euros as cash taken from the UK.
Any other ideas welcome. Sadly i dont have time to apply for a new CC.0 -
Revolut looks interesting i will check it! Thanks0

Bare in mind that whilst Revolut will facilitate fee free purchases, ATM withdrawals are limited to £500 per month before a 2% charge kicks in. So pay with the card when possible. If close enough to a Metro Bank, their debit card does not have that limitation. They disburse a card within the hour, in branch.0

Travelex was the best answer/option. Near exchange rate to M&S and no fees on spending or drawing cash.0

Oh no it wasn't.... But hey ho...not my money.0 -
i cant see any better options?
1.1356 EUR Euro = 1 GBP for the multi currency cash passport and no fees on spending on card or withdrawing euros from ATM.
Whats a better option?0 -
and considering the cost brexit has brought me anything a couple of quid isnt going to make much difference! I estimate it will cost me £700 more minimum that pre brexit.0

Travelex: £1000 equals 1135.60€
Revolut: £1000 equals 1162.93€
Travelex; any Euros left over will cost you another 5.75% to use them outside the Eurozone, including the UK.
Revolut; can spend in the UK and elsewhere without loss.
You should have listened to the advice given, instead of ignoring it thinking that you knew better. Anyway, it's your money. Just don't know why you bothered to waste everyone's time in asking in the first place.
Might sound harsh, but it's fair.0 -
