I got the same text today, the reference number matched paperwork sent by Barclays. As it had only been 10 days from my initial complaint I thought this seemed far to quick so I gave them a call, taking the free phone number of their paperwork. Up to now all I hadf rom Barclay's was acknowledgement of my complaint so didn't have a clue what sort of figures I would be looking at. Purely randomly I kind of guessed (hoped) for £2k would be nice. As it turns out I've been refunded just under £11k0

I think you meanBarclays will pay you, then the CC firm will ask for their money if you have regardless of whether you have a valid contract with them.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
