Hester. If nothing else this should make the move to a VERY SMALL FLAT not only less painful but positively joyous. Make sure that it is far too small for a lodger. Also insist that he is far, far away when you are showing prospective buyers your house.
And be careful, if he stays until you move he will have to sign an agreement that he will move out as well.

You stupid, generous, self sacrificing, lovely idiot.

  • Monna, yes it will, every cloud as they say. He won't be classed as a lodger as he is broke and out of work, so he won't be paying rent.

There is a possibility that hubby and I will be living separately for 3 to 6 weeks when we move, if so, he can go with hubby.

Candy, I couldn't in all conscience see him, or anyone else, homeless when I have a spare room.

But it is going to be interesting to say the least.

    Hugs Hester

Hester I'm sorry but don't you have enough on your plate? He's not your responsibility, there is a point where you just have to say NO. If you don't take him in someone will. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but you and your L&M need to put yourselves first not take in some random lodger who wont pay his way and you don't like. I mean really, look at it in black and white?
