Site Is So Slow Again! [Merged]

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I just wondered if others here found this site painfully slow recently? I don't think it's my connection as other sites load ok but it seems worse than ever lately!

I have problems if I try to access the site from work, but I have problems accessing pretty much all sites from work, so no surprise there. Here with my rather fast connection, I'm doing fine!

I have noticed it has periods of slow downs. I have also had a couple of time outs when posting replies which is right pain.

I know I'm always moaning about this and I know Wednesday isn't the best day to do it being email day but it's horrificly slow.

I keep getting 'page cannot be displayed' messages meaning I lose my replies etc.

And it's been bad for days now. I'm going back to last week!

I'm with Tiscali if that makes any difference but all other sites are as normal!

It happens here quite often (broadband connection, no trouble accessing any other sites). It seems to me to be particularly bad on a Wednesday when the Money Tips e-mail goes out, which I assumed was down to all the visitors that it generates who are chasing the links from their inboxes.

It's a good thing MSE content is usually worth waiting for

And to the OP, yeah, its slowish tonight, definately linked to when the email goes out, its always a lot slower then :rolleyes:

It's been crap for days for me. In fact I can't remember the last time it was running 'normal' speed for me!
