When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

I feel a bit rough this morning. DS went to bed with his dad last night and fell asleep in there so I had the choice of his room or the sofa (I chose the sofa as his room looks like a bomb site). Very restless night and not feeling the love this morning.
The good thing is that I have absolutely no plans ahead for the day other than the usual.check banking and PAD
nap if I need to
load of washing and line dry
hoover through
meal prep
try and make dh's life a bit easier while he's feeling so stressed
declutter items as per mins game
maybe take the kids pokemon hunting
I'm sure lots more will crop up as the day goes on. Have a good day everyone :wave:Not giving up

Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Hi August Awesome-ees,
Last day off work. Watching Olympics in between doing the housework.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Checked broadband allowance.
* Use Andrew Johnson's new, free meditation MP3 "Quiet Mind".
* Did RMS Surveys.
* Bedroom cleaned with Stardrops and washable cloths.
* Ditto study.
* Ditto bathroom.
* Ditto sitting room.
New Bloo FoamAroma Bathroom Cleaner
* You may have seen an advert on tv for a "new" bathroom cleaner called Bloo FoamAroma. Well, the Scientists at Dowd Towers had a look at this product and here was their verdict.
-It's £3.50. :eek:
-This amazing "new" product contains two amazing ingredients: soap, which, not surprisingly foams, and perfume.
Our verdict. No, no and definitely not.
Live long, live well and prosper.

Hi All
Not been feeling 100% at the moment so not focused on savings at all.
Am now determined to be more pro active on health and stop just trudging along with niggles.
A NSD again, one of many this month. I have a job list that would not fit into the box, but suspect I will just go home and straight to bed again.
Keep not spending all.

Morning Campers,
Been having a bit of a cook up this morning to use some of the home grown produce I gathered yesterday. Have made courgette curry, a nice lentil dhal recipe which is packed withbour garlic & chillies and a pan of tomato pasta sauce. Will feed us tonight, tomorrow & will do some extra portions for the freezer. Other money saving things today:
*Do a miniscule grocery shop for items on list only. I will only go 'off list' if I see a stunning YS offering.
*Pick mr f up from work & call at Waitrose for a free coffee while we plan our weekend.
*Post ebay parcel.
*Watered veggies.
*Pick sweetpeas. Free bouquet plus room fragrance.
*Rejuvenate cucumber plants. A bit of a chop & a dose of seaweed & I reckon there should be a few more cukes from it yet.
*Use it up lipstick....still using up this nice summery colour with a lipbrush.
*Cast on the 2nd half of Mum's present as this dropped off the list yesterday.
*2 baths from 1 lot of hot water.
*Think seriously about what I could realistically knit for my sister's autumn craft stall.
Ok, had better get this pasta sauce divvied up & see if my hair can be tamed by judicious use of straightners. Hope so. It frizzled up when I accidentally hosed the side of my head when I was trying to water my grapevine while simultaneously trying to pick up a fallen tomato!
Have a good day all. No-one can force you to spend those pennies so think on!
