Coming on today as I need to have a rant as I am so angry with my kids. I have always put their needs before mine as despite being a single mum I want to give them the best start etc. all I ask in return is that they take care of their rooms and do chores round the house.
As you can probably tell from my diary I am clearing out the clutter, trying to get a realistic budget in place and lose some weight so I can hopefully get my mojo back and enjoy exercising. Anyway, fast track to today. I am sat scanning photos, sorting boxes into tip, car boot, keep, putting straight on eBay etc. in breaks from this I am doing the washing, finishing of the yard between the rain. Just been to check on the kids and they are sat watching TV, rooms a tip, bedrooms not touched and empty coke cans, sweets wrappers everywhere. Drying up not done despite telling after lunch it was ready. Now add to the fact I tidied and cleaned that said room yesterday and it looks like a bomb site and you can hopefully sympathise why I am fuming.
Yes, I have shouted at them as I am so angry. So now I am not in a good mood and feel like why bother?Don’t put it down - put it away!

I totally sympathise! My 2 boys are total slobs. The 16 yr old is getting slightly better but the 13 yr old drives me mad. They make their own lunch these days, noodles, sandwiches, eggs and just leave everything piled up in the sink.
My OH thinks they do it on purpose to wind me up but I've told him they just don't see a tidy kitchen and clean dishes as important. They've got other things to do.
You just have to keep chipping away at them. Sometimes I totally flip and make them clean up, other times I just can't be bothered, and they never do it to my standard.
I love em both to bits but they annoy me everyday!0 -
Thanks guys for the support and for making me feel it is not just me that loses it! i just feel like sometimes i am hitting my head against a brick wall as they never seem to learn and I have tried everything! They never do it when out or at anyone else's house which is why i think it really gets to me.
not sure what the plans are for today as i am still not refocused.Don’t put it down - put it away!

well... created some extra work for me today as I tripped on shredder wire and knocked it over so now have loads of shredded paper to clear up. Grrr!
I pottered yesterday and the only money I spent was on a mystery shop so will eventually get that back plus it meant some groceries along the way. i think the weather makes me want to stay inside and with today being no better i wonder what is in store for me!
Just done a few clicks on instagc and hit the target for £1 cash out only to find they are out of stock so I am not amused!
We have things planned for other days in the week that are already paid for but i have mislaid my south lakes park voucher so will have to dig out the email.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Now have had all but one of my £5 letters back some say to review in a couple of months and I am fine with this as I will know roughly what work I will have, if any.
It seems a lot brighter today. Off on an afternoon tea later paid for with a voucher I won so should be a nice treat.
However, I wold like to finish the back yard ... The rain interrupted the clean as the bleach would just wash away. I am also thinking of printing off a calendar sheet to write down when next to do jobs like putting soda crystals down to keep on top if it.
Also need to go tip. I try to save things until I am passing that way but my lobby is getting full hence why I kicked over the shredder dodging things!
Losing faith with eBay as I have another collect item that the winner hasn't even replied to a message re collection.
Time for coffee before the day begins.Don’t put it down - put it away!

I had to talk to the girls again last night but so far it seems to be working as plates went in the kitchen straight after tea. Let's hope it continues!
I was just saying on the KD board, that I am damn sure I went to cash for clothes, the tip and dropping off various things to peoples houses and having just sat down, I am surrounded by more piles of stuff than I started with! How does that work?
I got £1 from cash for clothes. I was going to just take them the recycle point at the tip but the shop was on the way. Not much but it will go in the coin jar. I also had a £5 Tesco voucher for meat/chicken and decided that as much as the beef looked nice only me would eat it. So It would be better if I got 2 small chickens as it would go a lot further.
The new piles are a mixture of craft stuff for DD1 and things that need fixing or are going on eBay.
Feeling more positive than I have done lately but i have a confession to make. I did buy dd2 some new trainers as hers had holes in and really trashed [bear in mind these were pass me downs from big sis]. She does a lot of sport so needs some. There was a flash sale on at nike and with 20% off as well so it was not too much of a heart attack!
On a nice note I have got an email about an adhoc payment from work which just eases the pressure whilst I wait for the new term and hopefully work.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Talks on guinea pig still continue as a Christmas present. Not against the idea just researching it more.
Had a really good day out today. I had to meet up with someone to drop a homemade present off and instead of rushing back thinking we can't stay out as I have no money, clutter to sort and cleaning up to do we went to a park instead. Granted it cost me cheap drinks and an ice cream but the joy on the girls faces has really lifted me. Now we are back, it has got me thinking of wether I actually spend too much time worrying about the state of my affairs and need to but back some spontaneous sparkle back.
It is important to get the debt under control but so too are the simple things in life.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Instagc is now at £2.. whoop! whoop!
EBay collector showed up today and has really confused me. Item was cash on collection and annoyingly she had paid PayPal but as only a small item I just let it pass, However, she also gave me cash and when i queried it she was adamant she hadn't. Has now left positive feedback.
My living room is now tidy but my front room is about to explode with stuff, as i am determined to properly sift it is staying. two bits on eBay have bids already. Found old oyster card so will send this back - saw on hotukdeals that they will refund any monies so thought would try it out.
A NSD so that is always good!Don’t put it down - put it away!
