Land Registry Not Updated

Hi,
Just after some advice as my gut instinct is that something isn't right about this...
I purchased a new build from Persimmon in April this year. I have just changed my name and was putting together the paperwork to change my name with the Land Registry so I went online to get the Title Number etc from their website. When I downloaded the document I was surprised to see that the registered owner was still Persimmon Homes.
I would have thought that my conveyancer from the purchase took care of this or have I completely missed something?
Would be very grateful for your advice, thank you.

It usually takes a while for registration of new plots to be completed.
No need to change your name at the Land Registry until the next time you're doing something with the house.0 -
I bought a preowned flat in May - and land registry was only updated last week. Apparently they have a severe backlog because of all the activity prior to the stamp duty changes, so I wouldn't worry.0

Who did the conveyancing? You? Maybe you forgot to post the forms off to the LR?
Or a solicitor/licenced conveyancer? Have you asked them if/when they informed the LR?
Final thought - have you asked the LY if they've received the forms?0 -
If the title has been registered it should take long for the transfer to go through from Persimmon to you. It's two forms, simple Land Registry application, usually goes through within a week. I'd check with the Land Reg that they have the application on their books, and if so what the delay is (i.e. do they have a problem with the forms or not). If it is just in a backlog or something no worries, but if not you should find out sooner rather than later just in case.I work in property law, but not for any user on this site. Boring but important: none of my posts are legal advice.0

We are suffering from backlogs re this type of work currently and the delay referred to is quite possible. I would though not expect it to take too much longer before it is completed.
Your solicitor will have the new title number as allocated so you could obtain it from them and submit your application to update your name. If you'd rather not ask them for it then you can call our support team on 0300 006 0411 and they should be able to help“Official Company Representative

According to the Land Registry information, we are still living at our previous address which we sold at the time of our new house purchase. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light as to who is responsible for this - Land Registry or my solicitor?
It's not meant to be your current address, it's your address at the time of the last transaction with the property. Which, at the time you bought the house, was your old address.0 -

I thought that it would be only logical that the address recorded in the Land Registry should be the current rather the previous address.
Cheers
I've replied elsewhere but just to confirm that we would enter the contact details provided at the time.
Any changes thereafter are only made on application.
So if we entered the contact details as per where you were living when you bought then those will have been provided by the applicant on the application form“Official Company Representative

It's easy enough for you to change the address yourself with the Land Registry - there are forms to complete but if you look at the LR site it should be easy to download.
When you bought the property 11 years ago, did you make it clear that you were moving in to the property or was there a long stop completion which meant that you were still living in the previous property until the house was built? Sometimes, an exchange takes place but it is many months before you can physically move in. Until that time, your old address would be correct.
You could contact your solicitor so they can look into it, but bear in mind many firms only keep records for six years, then they are destroyed.
Obviously there are a significant number of buy-to-let/holiday properties where owners/landlords don't actually move into the property, so it is important that your instructions are clear.0 -

You can update your 'owners contact address' here:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/updating-registered-owners-contact-address
You can also sign up to get property alerts if someone applies to change the register of your property, for example if someone tries to use your property for a mortgage.0
