HAD accident today, no injuries, but bother.

Options
Driving in Scotland on holiday, oncoming vehicle wandered across from their side, frightening. How glad am I that I have a videocam to prove fault? Also shows Reg number to pass on.
How glad I am that only the Offside mirror was demolished, it could have been much worse.
Now after phoning to report as driver did not stay to exchange details, I find that phoning to report to Police then requires attendance at a Police Station wiyhin 24 Hrs. Any quesses on how many rural offices are now manned. Had to await a call back to be advised where I have to go, to report?

So the only question in the OP doesn't have a question mark to emd the sentence, and the sentence that does have a question mark appears not to contain a question. Perhaps if you rewrite in English and you actually have a question (rather than a rant) we could attempt to help.

My current answer is "not many", but I'm not sure how helpful that will be to you.

Call 101 and ask which station is most suitable to attend.

Your wasting your time they wont want to know. Just go via your insurance or pay yourself.

OP may still need a police report reference number, given the other party didn't stop.

Them not being interested is not a valid reason not to comply with the law.

you can report the accident/incident by phone and be given a reference number for your insurance co.
If you want the polis to investigate the other driver for failure to stop as they should then dont hold your breath.

There are posts regularly on Pepipoo.com from drivers who have received a NIP following a negligible contact, so at least some are followed up.

Post it on youtube. So we can see.
  • Have you checked to see if the other driver is insured?
