How many of us does it take to change a lightbulb? This is my recessed bathroom spotlight and I have no idea how to get the bulb out. This is about as far as I can pull it from the ceiling. Any ideas?

I thought the thread was going to be about an Irishman.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I think they chrome part unclips from the plastic part . looks tricky and little space. I cannot see how the sparky could have wired that . unless there used to be more cable but was pulled back to the next one . even a power block cannot be clipped in with one hand:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

If its like the light fitting in my brothers bathroom. press up on the bulb and turn slightly and the bulb should "pops out". No need to remove all of the light fitting from the ceiling.0

I've managed to get it out the ceiling, but I'm still non-the-wiser on how to get the bulb out. The chrome disc will rotate reluctantly, but I can't see how to get it off. There are no kinds of clips that I can see.
It is an Aurora AU-DLM983. I have found specs for it but no info on changing the bulb, which is a GU10.0 -
GU10 is a small bayonet cap type bulb, as said above it twists (only about 15 degrees) then pulls out. You can get rubber suckers that stick onto the bulb that help pull them out, useful on MR11 push fit pin bulbs too.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Have you tried holding the body of the fitting and then turning the silver plate at the end?
This may well unscrew to allow access to the bulb.0
