Private parking ticket from Northern Parking Services Ltd

Hi newbie here and looking for some advice,

Recently my partner received a ticket after accidentally parking in a private car park due to there being a roadside ticket machine located within feet of the car park and therefore she believed this to be pay and display.

After reading up on the newbie sticky on the front initially we ignored the ticket attached to the windscreen only then to receive a Notice to Keeper through the door. We then sent the template from this sticky "First appeal to the PPC" to receive an e-mail literally say "Thanks for the copy and paste, we will not release any information due to data protection."

Where do we stand next as I was expecting atleast the name of the company they are working on behalf of so that I could take it direct to them. Additionally on request must they provide these details of landowner and copies of requested signage etc...?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Have they given you a POPLA code or the option of an IAS appeal?

Ahhh - NPS is an IPC firm, so it is muppets using a kangaroo court all the way.

Coupon Mad however sets it out right here:

So there you go - stop wasting time on them. :)
  • Thanks a lot. I will have to have a wander by the private car park see if I can see signage for the landowners and maybe send a direct e-mail to them but appreciate your input.

Coupon mad is, in my opinion, wrong wrt appealing to the IAS.

The adjudication will be anonymous, and probably perverse, turning universally accepted adjudication processes on their head.

Should this document be presented to a judge it is highly likely that it would harm the PPC's case. I therefore recommend that OP appeals.

OK but bear in mind the BMPA as a group (free advice) shares my view. Do not appeal to IAS.

And we KNOW some PPCs have produced as part of their court 'evidence' an IAS pseudo-win and that at least one busy Judge swallowed it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
