    I've used sky and EE.

    No issues with EE.

Used EE for at least 6 years, taking it with me when I moved. No issues at all, I work on pc all day. They even called earlier in the year to offer me a better bb and calls package, saving me £4 a month.

  • I've been with EE (formerly Orange) for years. The only reason was that I had it all paid for by my employer, and when I switched jobs, I thought it would be less disruptive to keep my ISP and just pay the bills myself. Unfortunately, Orange messed up big time and reset my ADSL. I then had no broadband for 2 weeks while the painful process or reprovisioning took place (thanks to the shockingly bad service levels that they somehow agreed to with those useless muppets at BT Openreach). So, minus several million out of 10 for that (despite complaints to the Exec Office - the only way to make them listen, and numerous credits on my account).

Since then, they've been OK, though download speeds pretty poor (distance from exchange), and moving house locally meant another 2 weeks of no broadband (BT again).

When things do go awry, the tales of poor customer service are spot on. You start with the combination of very low quality phone line to India (to save them money) and the heavily accented CS people, making it really hard to understand what they are saying, and being understood. Once beyond that, their skill levels are very poor, and just read you through a diagnosis script (which anyone with any IT skills will have done already).

So, fine when they work, not when they don't (but from what I read, they're all pretty rubbish when things go wrong - all the major players anyway).

I've been planning to upgrade to fibre soon, and am nervous about taking the plunge of an 18 month contract with EE, or Plus, or ...
