We reapplied with Natwest, submitted application last Tuesday, got DIP, supplied documents last Wednesday, came back yesterday wanting some more ID for my partner and valuation is booked for today...
Supposed to find out tomorrow or Monday, most likely be Monday!
I was told under valuation never really happens on new builds, but hey ho, hopefully not twice in a row or I don't think I would cope!!
Well fingers crossed for you this time around !
Did Skipton give a reason as to why they undervalued it? Also, what did the property developer of the new build have to say when the price was knocked down ?0 -
Possible, but we didn't receive an explanation, our broker hasn't provided one.
It took me all my strength to get the value off them so don't think i'd have much luck with an explanation.
The developer was absolutely foaming as you can imagine, they've claimed the surveyor wouldn't look at the other plots that were finished of the past so many valuations on the same house! Supposedly his reply was 'I don't trust builders'. They stated they wouldn't let him back on site, whether that's true I don't know, just what I've been told. Obviously they weren't going to reduce the price by this much especially a week after the neighbour had been valued at full price, it's a rubbish situation, feels so close yet so far!!
Thanks, I'm a nervous wreck at the moment, if I have to wait until Monday my weekend will be horrendous ha, drama queen I know.0 -
Well just found out that Natwest are currently 'assessing' the valuation report so feeling light headed and nervous!!
Got everything crossed right now.0 -
Had DIP in 19/07, broker went on holiday thereafter which delayed our mortgage app going through. Been waiting since the 9th of August but the Halifax keeps asking for extra docs
was hoping for a quick move but really not getting my hopes up on it anymore! Little things have delayed what should have been quite a simple application and now I just want to take a sleeping pill that wakes me up when our offer is in the post to save myself from the nail-biting stress

It's a horrible feeling isn't it? I was hoping I'd hear today even know I knew that it was unrealistic considering the valuation was only carried out yesterday. I just couldn't face going into another weekend not know... Broker said should know by Monday or Tuesday now!
It's the worst!hope you hear good news come next week!!

Nervously waiting from nationwide underwriters. Should hear something next week.0
-
We are waiting! Our application went in on Friday. I'm so nervous - ours is new build. I'm hoping our valuation won't be too complicated due to us using HTB so the house should hopefully be over 75% of the initial value! (Fingers crossed). I'm so stressed!0
-
We're supposed to be finding out today, also using HTB and this is our second valuation.
I feel sick with stress, went to see our plot over the weekend and they're about to tile the roof, makes it harder waiting for the final decision!!
Good luck all0 -
Fingers crossed for you! Which bank have you gone with?0
