They under valued our plot by 10'000 so now the broker is saying to go with Natwest and start the application again!!!

Valuation was back with Nationwide yesterday afternoon. Mortgage offer issued at lunch time today!

    Hope you're having similar luck!

Saturday morning for the house I'm buying.

My buyer had their survey done on my home yesterday and they had their offer text from Barclays by 9am this morning.
  • Did nationwide share the valuation with you at all? We are buying my parents' house and my mum is now demanding to know what it was valued at by the surveyor.
  • Hello,

Waiting on a decision from natwest after Halifax declined and offered 20k less than we needed.
Broker emailed on Monday saying everything had in been submitted.
We got emails last night from experian saying there had been searches of our reports. (Definitely Natwest)
I don't think I could cope waiting weeks. Thankfully the seller is responsible for the home report and most lenders will accept the valuation in the report (Scotland)

    Trying to keep positive.

Got confirmation that my valuation was carried out this morning. Mine is a new build too. Do the property developers have the outcome ?

No, but if you call the lender in a day or two, they should have no problem telling you.

Really sorry to read this . I quite naively thought with new builds the valuations were quite straight forward etc. Is there no room for appeal or negotiation?

We went with Skipton originally and they won't accept anything but their surveyors opinion, no room for negotiation or appeal sadly!!
We reapplied with Natwest, submitted application last Tuesday, got DIP, supplied documents last Wednesday, came back yesterday wanting some more ID for my partner and valuation is booked for today...

Supposed to find out tomorrow or Monday, most likely be Monday!

I was told under valuation never really happens on new builds, but hey ho, hopefully not twice in a row or I don't think I would cope!!
