We had ours done on Saturday :)

It's a new build though so I don't think we'll have any problems!
  • Ours is a new build too!
We were told 2 days turn around to hear back about it but don't know if that counts the weekend.

    Who are you applying through?
We're using Skipton and help to buy, just had our help to buy papers through to sign this morning!

    It won't include weekends.

We're using Nationwide and not help2buy.

Surveyor has just been to my current house that I'm selling...was the same guy who valued the house I'm purchasing! Told my everything was OK and that he was sending it off this afternoon. Infact said he couldn't believe the price I was getting it for. Said if the purchase price was £20k more he would have had no problems valuing it at that. To say we're over the moon is an understatement :D

Aaaah so pleased for you! You must be so relieved!! :):) You should get your offer this week?

I'm waiting for my mortgage broker to call me back to see if they've heard how the valuation went etc.
Waiting is the worst thing in the world!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks!

I would imagine the offer will come through this week yeah, they have all of the required documents and the credit check was done at AIP stage. Affordability won't be a problem as we're not close to the max borrowing amount either. So fingers crossed we hear in the next couple of days :D

Ah great, all seems to be going swimmingly for you!

All our stuff was checked at DIP stage I think too, that was 16th June, I just hate the unknown! I missed the call from our Mortgage advisor and now I can't get a hold of her, nightmare!!

Oh ours has been a whistle stop tour! We actually only decided to sell our house on the 16th July, agreed Sale price on Monday 18th and had our mortgage appointment on the 23rd!

Fingers crossed all has went well for you :)

Wow that's really good! We are first time buyers so the whole thing is a little scary.

Just checked our skipton mortgage tracker and our valuation has been received but the application states 'pending decision, information required'

So I am feeling sick to the stomach now ha! :(

Valuation was back with Nationwide yesterday afternoon. Mortgage offer issued at lunch time today!

    Hope you're having similar luck!
