Just watch the finance rates if you aren't going to a main dealer. Citroen are doing some quite low rates at the moment and you could potencially pay more by going to a car supermarket and paying their higher interest rates.

It is main dealer ... well it's a done deal now so I'm trying not to think too much about it ... I'm sure it will be very nice and as long as she's happy ...

Agreed. Massive discounts on Citroens are the norm, as shown with drivethedeal. If they can source one for just over £10k, a £16k car will lose 50% as soon as it is driven away.

Another vote for taking the £500 on the chin

If you can save £4500 or £5000 then £500 is worth losing

Unless a threat to pull out of the deal could encourage the current dealer to chop a few thousand off the car to keep the deal alive.
