I haven't got a clue who did the study (I did my degree about 20 years ago) but I do remember one which showed that the children suffered fewer negative effects if their parents separated than if they stayed together in an acrimonious relationship.

I don't think a one size fits all approach is good anyway. I mean, what about families suffering from domestic abuse? Surely getting rid of the offending partner could actually help the household feel safer and happier.

Wierd post by OP too, what's the deal here?

On reflection, I think the comments in the post must be true.

Infants changing their sleeping and feeding patterns? Toddlers sucking their thumbs? Pre teens with bad habits?

I am grateful to the OP for clarifying that such rare and deviant behaviours are due to divorce, because frankly, who knew?

OP, I'd love to add to the list as requested, and tell you that children of divorced parents grow into teenagers who leave the cardboard tube on the toilet roll holder; adults who drive at a steady 50 in the outside lane of the motorway; and pensioners who go to the post office at lunch time.

Unfortunately, I need to be off now to cook my dogs organic whole food dinner, before he too becomes a victim of our broken society.
