Should I pay?!

I live on a private residential road and have been ticketed by Uk parking solutions for parking in my own parking space but forgetting to put a permit in. Since getting the ticket 2/6/16 I've heard nothing...until yesterday. We have received a letter from TNC parking services saying that uk parking solutions has now passed this onto them and they have obtained our details from the dvla. Are uk parking solutions allowed to do this? And do I need to pay?

yes they can do this
no you do not need to pay , not yet anyway
you should check what your lease says and also any agreement you have with the M.A. (or landowner/landlord) that may have employed UKPC
signage , contracts and other issues will be your defence points
now read the NEWBIES sticky thread and appeal
but still read your lease and complain to the M.A. to get it cancelled too0 -
Should I pay?!
Answer - NO.
Of course they can get your DVLA data. You need to read other UKPS threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Why should you pay them a penny? The are employed to keep squatters out, not harass residents. Get on to your landlord or MA if you are a leaseholder. Also, let us know what your lease/AST says about parking, actual wording please. Also google " fined own space".
These companies are nothing but scammers, they prey on the vulnerable and stupid. Follow the advice here and you could end up costing them money. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
But UKPS weren't the ones who obtained it, they got another company to do it for them0

doesnt matter if they use another company for the back office work , many do
all that matters is that the company contacting the DVLA is in the BPA or the IPC and also that the PPC is too0 -

We know, and if you read UKPS threads you will see TNC do the back office work for them. This is already on other threads, no big deal, changes nothing. Try searching the forum board for 'UKPS TNC' as a search term (or Google the same with the word 'parking' if the search doesn't work well).
Best to read other threads full of info already discussed, than have drip-fed single replies one by one, staying isolated on a thread here. That will prepare you for what happens next and do come back if you get a (rare) small claim or Letter before Claim from a solicitor, all normal stuff that can be challenged.
This is not something to pay unless a Judge tells you to, basically, and even losing at a hearing to resolve the dispute (if you lost!) wouldn't affect your credit rating.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I was giving a map when I first moved in showing the managed parking and my parking space is under "demised parking" heading. It says "failure to display your permit in the front of your vehicle, not parking in the correct parking bay or parking in an incorrect manner could result in a £100 fine.0
-
does it actually mention the word "fine" ?
no company can "fine" you , certainly not UKPS or the M.A.
is this a part of your lease agreement ?
or is parking mentioned in your lease agreement ?0 -
Still defendable if a claim happened.
Not something to pay now - people who do that are IMHO, beneath contempt! If they have come here, read the info and still pay then they are not only mugs but are muggers themselves, because they are then considered to be supporting the entire scam and funding the next few fake PCNs against other victims. Don't join them in their little game, this is not a 'fine' anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It says fine.
These parking controls came into action after I had moved in and we only received letters stating we needed to put permits in all cars parked on our residential road with a map showing what space was ours and the rules they expected us to follow to avoid fine.
My father also received a parking ticket last December and has had no letters chasing him for the money they want, only us for our parking charge even though I was parked in my own bay0
