Seems a popular car park this one to catch holidaymakers....
Any assistance required would be much appreciated as I just got a ticket too:
2043: Arrived at the Holy Trinity Church Newquay car park I tried to buy a ticket but the pound coins I had were rejected by the car park machine. Went to get change.
2049: Bought ticket for one hour as car park closed at 2200 (have ticket)
2150: Returned to car to eat takeway
2200: Left carpark
Will a POPLA appeal be successful???

Go to the newbies FAQ thread for advice on when and how to appeal.
Can't predict whether or not you will kill this with an appeal0 -

Do not appeal about 'going to get change'. The NEWBIES thread tells you not to say who was driving nor the 'story of what happened'.
Did the PCN arrive within 14 days? Was the 'date issued' within 12 days or so?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There are some up to date pics of the signeage, and their poorly machines at Holy Trinity, on the "Newer Newquay" fb page.
Looks like the church is getting a bit ruffled to...

Have read that exchange with interest Ivor. It's an appalling attitude by the church, not much forgiveness there. Here's something from the Scriptures to remind the good Fr Brian of."And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."

I see that Sister Patricia Mary is wavering now that The Scriptures are being quoted, as in 'I'm not playing any more'. Maybe too close to home?
'Den of thieves' - how apt, even 2,000 years later.:cool:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
