I've got an ISO image and a few (legit) keys for Windows 10 through work (MSDN).. I wiped the laptop then went from scratch.Baby_Angel wrote: »How did you manage that? I couldn't figure out how. It said something along the lines, that the free upgrade wasn't available for Vista. Did you pay for the upgrade?
Pay for an OS? Hell, I got Windows 95 free the day before it was released! (Again, a legit license - one of my dad's mates was working with them at the time)
We're meant to be upgrading our company laptops to Win10.. I'd much rather they replace my ageing machine and not break all my stuff by a badly planned upgrade.0 -
Windows 8.1 is my choice but at the moment, Microsoft are only supporting the newer gaming features on Windows 10 I've changed it to 10.

Until recently I had a triple-boot with Arch Linux, Windows XP and Windows 7. But I got rid of XP.
I've no interest in Windows 10 at the moment. It doesn't seem to do anything useful that Windows 7 doesn't, but has privacy issues and a horrible UI.0 -
Can't answer the poll, since my main OS isn't there.0

Debian Linux gets the most use from me. Otherwise a mixture of Windows 7 and 10. If I had the time again, I wouldn't have bothered updating to 10 - it works fine, I just don't particularly like it.0

Main Win7, but use everything (except 10) from 98SE on + Linux (occasionally)0

Win10.
Having tried a few versions of Linux, though I actually really like some of them in reality for my usage there is too much which is if not problematic, certainly inconvenient..
IMHO this version (Win10) has been the most stable since XP, but that is not to say it doesn't have its quirks.0 -
I'm fond of Win 10 - general life got in the way of upgrading for ages, until another IT buddy (more current than me) suggested it was actually rather good. I went for it, and he was right, it is rather good. I really can't see many strong cases for most people not adopting it, but then there's a group who insisted on clinging to a turn of the millennium operating system.0
