We have just had a mortgage offer from precise, it's a long process and with help To buy they will take longer with the solicitors process! So far we have put a deposit down on new build on 22/6, we then started the mortgage process which you need to get an advisor and pay their fees if they don't add it to the mortgage, then valuation fee
Etc with precise it's 500 upfront including the 35 pound
Electronic transfer fee, the application goes on and then while your waiting you pay the solicitors basic search fees 80 quid ish, we this week got our mortgage back so a good few weeks later!! Now we have an appointment at the solicitors to exchange and pay the rest of the 5% deposit and stamp duty. We will be laying the solicitors and final land registry once we complete. As the new build is ready we will be exchanging and conpleting hopefully before beginning on September (mainly being pushed as I am due to give birth at the end of September and my daughter is starting school in the village at the beginning so it's being pushed quite a lot. Builders usually want to complete within 28 days usually if the house is ready!
Don't know if that's any help but gives you an idea. Good luck!!! It's all very exciting!!!!0 -
