Good to good to see your back posting. I also like visiting different parkruns. When we go away in the camper van I see where the nearest one is before I book.
we brought an expensive new bed when we moved. Never regretted it I’m sure you won’t. Spend a lot of time sleeping in our life times. xx

At what point do I cut my losses and find a different tradesman? I may be partly to blame as I haven't necessarily been pushing for things to be done but all the same... The main one is the joiner. He is putting plasterboard on my ceiling for me, then I need to organise a plasterer before he comes back to fit some skirting and door surrounds. At that point I can then decorate. It is someone I know, he has given me quotes for the work which I have approved and gives me ideas of a time frame and then it passes. This morning I have asked him if can give me a time scale as I have leave coming up and would like to decorate then if possible. I don't actually think I will be able to coordinate it all by then but if I can work the trades people out then at least I may be able to decorate around work or pay someone to do. I don't have faith in people sticking to what they say though!

I have no idea how people coordinate getting their whole house done/renovation projects. I think I need to be more ruthless.

Workmen have been here today fitting my new windows.  The ones they have done look a little strange after getting used to the others but I really like the surround they are using.  I had taken all the blinds down at the weekend apart from the ones at my bedroom window, they are now down and I have no way of putting them up tonight.  I will have to sleep with an eye mask on and change in the bathroom.  Hopefully I hav someone coming around to help me put them up tomorrow - oh the joys of living alone!

Not at all.  The windows have been fitted but I am still waiting for the joiner to do his first set of works.  He has said to call at the end of the week if I haven't heard from him so I will.

I am incredibly bored.  I had varicose vein surgery on Saturday and am having to take it easy for the week while I recover, the problem is I don't do nothing very well :D

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Luckily we don't have the temperatures down south do.  I have been staying inside as I am finding it quite hot with the compression stocking on.  I have spent all day every day doing puzzles online!
