I love the fact you can book so many things online now.  I decided to book my next hair appointment during breakfast and as I don't have a specific stylist I just clicked on someone...it turns out this one is £12 cheaper than the ones I usual go with.  I only get my hair cut so I don't think it matters too much who I go with.
I was hoping I would have this afternoon free for my own admin at work but it looks like I am now involved in some development work for an hour or so.  As soon as I get home my first and most pressing job is to sort out my $ky account as this is going to cost me a lot of money if I don't get myself in gear.

Glad you were able to save £12. That's a huge difference.

I found out yesterday that my boss from my last location passed away on Saturday, it is really affecting me today and I am struggling to get my head around doing anything.

$ky finally sorted after 45 mins in a queue and then it took a while to get the new contract in place.  My overall bill will be slightly up on what I was paying before but a lot less than it is about to jump to, I will put a reminder somewhere for before the bill ends next time so I don't end up having this happen again.  It does mean I have waited quite a bit of time but I managed to complete an online course required for work while I was in the queue so not all bad.

I seem to have been on a roll recently with tackling these frogs and getting the big jobs done. Today's task is to find out how I get money back for the voucher b@ gave me when I cancelled my holiday, just need to get out of work early enough!

Best laid plans and all that...I hadn't realised I had a meeting this afternoon and then joined a rehearsal in advance of tomorrow's main one, by the time I got home it was too late to sort the insurance refund.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

£999 was put in my account by my bank as a refund for the mortgage fee I paid in June... Cue panicked communication to them tomorrow but it turns out it is legitimate and is mine again. Undecided whether to OP or save...

The current idea is neither to save or OP but also not recklessly spend.  I certainly won't be able to afford all the extra things I want with it but I would like to replace my mattress (or bed), washning machine (doesn't spin very well) and could possibly do with a tumble drier so am thinking of using the money for this as in a way I am thinking of it as free money as it had already been earmarked for something else and spent.  I could probably do with a new oven and hob too at some point.  It would only knock 2 months off my mortgage as an OP but doing that and then paying for the larger goods would eat into money I have earmarked for savings and OPs.  I am going to price up the different things and work out what I am going to do.

  • I think use it to make your life easier or more enjoyable. All what you suggested are very reasonable, and functional. Do you have any fun requirements? I'm developing a list; decent headphones for the gym and good quality sheepskin slippers.
