Saw this on fb to win a candle:

    My friend
deserves a Xmas kiss. Katie's baby boy died in January and she is expecting his rainbow sister this month.

    So disgusting.

I didn't bother entering that comp. Someone is going blind, someone's niece has been evicted with her little kids ect

TBH, I don't see much of it on FB as I'm only a member of a couple of winners groups. Like I have mentioned before, the best/worst one I saw was a couple of years ago where someone who does very well complained about people who 'weren't compers' were doing the advents and were winning all the prizes and regular compers weren't. Even DH was a bit put out by that, because even he understands that anybody who enters has/should have the same chance as everybody else to win something. Why should they have the monopoly on it?
TBH, I got a little bit miffed last night during that Freeview comp where the same names came up during it. And DH, came into the room and said 'what's up? has one of those who wins all the time won?' And I just went 'yep!!'
Even he wants to know how come some folk win all the time on there. I can't give him and answer, but what I do know is that the sense of entitlement & complaining when they have no reason to is rather uncalled for.

I thought exactly the same re winners...I don't begrudge anyone a win but WOW the number of familiar names who won and pop up Day after day was amazing! Their compin fairy is definitely looking after them. :):)

What good or use is a candle to someone who is getting evicted?
It's very original, I'll give them that. Oh dear.

Seen on a FB comp for a potty training kit and cuddly toys:

"wow what an amazing & generous prize..#win.....loved liked dreamed and share with my best chums ......i would be over the moon & be thrilled to bits to win.........fingers tightly crossed......... thank you for the chance & good luck to you all x.."

    Like, calm down love!!

This is a LONG TERM comper who was always at the top of my FB posts so I had to block her! Same lady that nearly soiled herself approaching her 40th birthday over soup.
Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.
  • I'm genuinely on the verge of giving up on the FB competitions now. I'm serious.

That perfume would be an amazing gift for my daughter who helps me all the time with my palliative care husband and never grumbles about the time she has to spend helping good luck to everyone xx

I would love this to help with our fundraising for dog rescue ,I would donate the worth if it to help the lovely ladies who help rescue them & get medical attention for the poor babies x

Oh this would be lovely, Iv just started a journey fighting cancer and I look after my husband who's had a stroke life's been hard but my girls would love this as a gift to share xx

For perfume. The requirements are to like and share.

Ah, the Soup Lady. I mentioned it before, but someone did actually ask her as to how soup would make her big day special :rotfl:
She seems to have tons of best friends too. Almost as bad, if not worse that the 'Married in Michigan' couple.
There is a few on Twitter that has been popping up just lately who keeps decorating their rt's with lots of emojis and gifs, and they have a habit of going over board with the Caps Lock. It gives me headache when their tweets pop up. No need, dears.
How long till the advents, btw? This thread is going to go into overdrive, and I need to prepare ;):rotfl:

I have to wonder though, if it works? Presumably it must be having some effect, otherwise why do it??

I'm not sure what 'Shadowbanning' is tbh.
But, I think I go overboard sometimes by putting the hashtag & a thumbs up emoji. :rotfl:
I hope that they don't go ahead with the 240 character limit. For some, 140 characters is more than enough.:rotfl:
I have seen a couple of them who do it win, but I think it's still a random thing, as it should be, as I've also seen people just c&p the hashtag and come up trumps.
