What is it about this site that it attracts such horrible people
I am on forums all the time and have been for the last 10 years and this site is exceptionally nasty for absolutely no reason everybody who has replied to this innocuous text you have not understood the purpose of a forum which is about VENTING!!
you are none of you even trying to understand what the purpose of the discussion is you are just looking for ways to empty all the bile out of your bodies because you are physiclly so full of poison I feel so sorry for you that you are on the Internet in your living room or your bedroom typing stuff in!
it's so sad
by the way you may notice I won't by the way you may notice I won't be replying to anything you typing from now on that's because I am not reading anymore of your crap and won't be returning to this thread
The English are such chavs!
Awwwww diddums, is the baby upset by all the nasty people here.0 -
Manufacturers clearly state to only use genuine chargers, so you want to go against the manufacturers advice and use a random charger?
You chose to take the laptop without charge, therefore you purposely ensured that they would not be able to use the laptop to fix the issue that you had caused.0 -

Bye then, I'd like to say you'll be missed but I'm pretty sure you won't be.
Although I am quite impressed that you seem to have a way of divining the nationality of all of the posters in the thread, and that not all were they all English (even Shaun from Africa, who may be English but there's a strong hint in the name that he isn't) but they are all chavs to boot.0 -

And you say other posters have been horrible towards you?
You are downright rude IMO. On any kind of forum you will get those who rip other posters to shreds.
If you don't want to experience that then I suggest you don't join them.
Simples.
Oh and you missed a letter out in your thread title...........cuStomer."The truth is of course is that there is no journey.
We are arriving and departing all at the same time."0 -

I could think of another letter instead of an S that would be better suited.0 -
Would somebody please pick all those baby toys, I just nearly tripped on one.0

OP, this has got to be a windup? I can't believe this, but I actually sympathize with curry's. Not rocket science? You honestly expect Curry's to keep spare transformers/chargers for every electrical device that they stock? on the off chance that a customer brings a device back and forgets the charger? Maybe just think about the logistics of doing that for a minute.
In this case lack of common sense caused you to have a wasted trip.0 -
I am absolutly gobsmacked.....by Currys customer service, what is going on there. I purchased a tv for my son 2 and a half weeks ago. My son has just purchased a new flat we hired a van and picked it up. He was then called to work in Switzerland and returned a few days ago. So last night he proceeded to get the tele up and running only to realise it was faulty. He returned to Currys at Lakeside today only to be greeted by a rolling eyed rude customer service lady who told him he should of reported it within 24 hours ???? he explained that he had to go to Switzerland to work and has only just returned and that they never told him or put it on the receipt he had to report it within 24 hours. She said that normal people are so happy with their purchase that they would open it up within 24 hours.....well hey we are not normal. anyway she would not refund or replace. He rang head office and they said that she was wrong in what she was saying and told him to go home and get the serial number and they would issue a refund. So he went home and rang head office only to be told that rolling eyes had put a note on his file saying the damage was my sons fault ?????? I am gobsmacked and annoid that I used currys as so many people have warned me and to be honest we had trouble with a faulty laptop last year which they would not help with. Anyway we have contacting trading standards and they have told us we have full rights to money back or a replacement as they are committing criminal breach of trading standards and that we have to negotiate consequensial loss and much much more. So here goes .......its ~Friday evening and we are all on our way to Currys at Lakeside lets see what they come up with but ol rolling eyes is gonna wish she never rolled her eyes.:T0

I got lost amidst all the rolling eyes!
You do have rights against Currys but going in talking about criminal breach of trading standards is not going to help you. Your complaint is a civil one, no crime has been committed. You may be entitled to claim back reasonable costs, but you're not going to get "much much more" than petrol.
I'm no fan of Currys, but I am sympathetic to shop workers who have to deal with certain customers, two of whom are on this thread.0 -
Last month I bought a laptop Curry's in Tottenham Court Road and put an error on it --which was completely my fault because I'm not really I T literate -- I phoned them up and they said go to the shop and they will sort it -- I never thought to charge the laptop so it was dead when I arrived in the shop in Tottenham Court Road to my amazement they didn't have a charger so I had to take it home again -- I rang their complaints department and asked why there isn't universal chargers in the store that sold me a computer but they couldn't help me get it working because they didn't have a charger -- it didn't strike me as rocket science to have as many charges in the store as they have computers!! down the phone was a **very young** person when I told him I got on a tube specifically to go to Tottenham Court Roadonly to end up going on a tube back again his response was "Aaaaaw!! you had to go on a tuuuube!!"
I was kind of flabbergasted by the rudeness
Bearing in mind this is Curry's customer service!!
Rant over! Thanks for reading I feel better now! x
Take responsibility yourself. As you say its not rocket science and you could have charged it up yourself before leaving for the store. I know this month is regarded as the silly season but come on you set yourself up to look stupid.
I have no sympathy with you at all and in my experience have found Curry's excellent with their customer service.0
