poor cutomer service at Currys

Last month I bought a laptop Curry's in Tottenham Court Road and put an error on it --which was completely my fault because I'm not really I T literate -- I phoned them up and they said go to the shop and they will sort it -- I never thought to charge the laptop so it was dead when I arrived in the shop in Tottenham Court Road to my amazement they didn't have a charger so I had to take it home again -- I rang their complaints department and asked why there isn't universal chargers in the store that sold me a computer but they couldn't help me get it working because they didn't have a charger -- it didn't strike me as rocket science to have as many charges in the store as they have computers!! down the phone was a **very young** person when I told him I got on a tube specifically to go to Tottenham Court Roadonly to end up going on a tube back again his response was "Aaaaaw!! you had to go on a tuuuube!!"

I was kind of flabbergasted by the rudeness

Bearing in mind this is Curry's customer service!!

Rant over! Thanks for reading I feel better now! x

I am flabbergasted at that statement and believe your expectations are totally unreal .

You broke it you failed to charge it and you expected the store to have a charger for every product they sell and no doubt all the ones no longer in stock . Flabbergasted by your excessive expectations .

I feel sorry for anybody who was naive enough to think that they would get a fair service from Curry's.

Glad the vent has helped. Yes that was very rude of them.

Sad to say, it's what I'd expect from a company like them.
You should have charged it though:(

    Edit-just read your post.
You've said this quite a few times, perhaps forums aren't for you.

Alright i'll try and keep this simple (without trying to sound rude). You can't expect any electronic store (even one as big as Currys) to have spare chargers for every model of (1,000's) laptop they have ever sold. They just don't have storage for it all.

OP as you appear to have problems with charging I just want to warn you that it is likely Currys will charge you to fix your laptop.

If they had used a universal charger and this had damaged your laptop, who do you think you would have blamed for this?
There are many different makes of laptops and many brands have different chargers for different models so it's not realistic to expect any high street store to keep branded chargers for all of these.

Universal chargers can be good quality or they can be the exact opposite and I wouldn't expect a retail outlet to be willing to use one of these on a customer's computer.
