Just to add you say appeal around day 18 but this is what is on back of their parking ticket and where most other companies including councils say you have 28 days to appeal this mob give you only 21!

Only written postal appeals/challenges will be accepted
Appeals/challenges must be received by the company within 21 days beginning with the day after that on which the notice is given. If you appeals is received within 14 days the charge will be frozen at the reduced rate and if rejected the lower rate will still be applicable for a further period of 14 day from the date of rejection appeals received after the 14 days will be subject to the higher rate if rejected.

*They ask you to provide an email address if you want confirmation they have received your appeal - should I give this?

*They ask for my full postal address and or Mobile Number. Do I give this information in the first appeal or do I let them go to DVLA for that information?

    * Do I send the ticket in that I paid for.

    * Am I appealing on the basis that the penalty charge they set when I was only 18 minutes over time (and was the only car left in the car park) is unfair (if I had to pay for 20 minutes would be less than 50p)? Or am I just letting them know that I am the keeper at this stage using the IPC template?

I know this is old ground for you but I just want to make sure I have this all absolutely right before I go ahead. I don't want the b*s***ds to have any reasons (I know they reject but I don't want to slip up with anything in the first appeal that could go against the next)

    Many thanks

they are now in the IPC

yes , give them an email address , throw away one if newssessary

no do not give them your address , let them pay for it (DVLA)

no , hold on to the ticket , send a photocopy , actually send nothing , they HAVE a copy of the ticket

Sorry I meant the ticket I had displayed in my car that I'd paid for? I would only send a photocopy if I have to send that.

So I don't have to send the PCN notice just give the number? They ask for my reg number is the PCN notice number good enough?

Also no one has answered me on this but am I appealing on the grounds of unfair penalty charge and the fact the car park was empty when I got back to my car so no loss of revenue?

You don't need to alter the template appeal in the newbies FAQ thread. Send that as advised.

    But expect a rejection!

Just out of interest do you think because so many people send this template rather than putting into their own words - is why they make so many rejections? Apart from being greedy wotsits?

Is there a reason/logic behind the wording in that template? Just interested?
