I would refuse to pay and take my chances in court if it gets that far

even if you lost the judgment may only be between £160 and £220

and a judge would give you a fairer hearing and would expect the claimant to prove their case to his/her satisfaction

If you pay you'd be mad IMHO, totally mugged. Why pay £160 now when even if you lost at a hearing you'd pay similar (or nothing if you won)? You are simply back in the position you would have been in if you'd not tried POPLA (because this version is not the 'old' POPLA). A refusal was to be expected. I am surprised you didn't just search the forum for 'Wright Hassall' and read similar threads.

This is no biggie, not a reason to pay and support/join UKPC in their little game and fund the next few PCNs against victims of UKPC.

Most posters here sit tight and wait and then defend a case if they get court papers.

@Coupon-mad, many thanks for encouraging me to stay firm with this issue.

I've decided to wait for the whatever they bring up next.

What is the next step from me to do now?

Is it that time now when the game starts of they asking for cash and me ignoring me or do I have to take any action?

    Thanks.

Your link is unkown with https://

No matter its just another day at the office with DRP.

Yes, it starts with DRP wasting their time as usual and it ends when they get fed up and pass it back to UKPC who may or may not go further. If UKPC does return here

    IGNORE DRP
  • Thanks beamerguy for that.

I will just ignore their letters from now on.

Currently I cannot post links to images because I'm new user. Therefore I use dead starting hxxps:// instead https://
