Sorry but your figures do not add up, not with a 5.9% APR. The monthlies would not be £405.33.

    I'm out.

    What should they be?

I've only copied the figures on the quote as you asked?

So do I - it took 24 posts to get the base information that indeed proves that dealer has added your £1k negative equity and increased the payments from £375/380 to £405

Is this a ripoff - unlikely but they've tried their luck and you spotted it

Now you get to walk away and spend time looking for another car and go through the whole thing again (and rest assured I've been there, done that and got the t-shirt)

Eventually you'll find the tipping point between residual of yours, a dealer who wants to play and a car that you fancy

However the OP still didn't answer the simple question - did he agree the £405 as target monthly repayment figure from the outset.

If yes, then where was the rip-off?

And to answer the OP from earlier, with those figures he posted the monthlies would have been around £413.

In fact if he looks for a PCP calculator online he'll see non of those figures would make sense.

I'm surprised your worried about an odd £1000 when you will be loosing many more thousands of pounds in depreciation over the years!.

Ignoring the monthly repayment calculations for a moment, if the dealer told him they would not add the £1000 to the finance agreement, but they then did do this and quoted a monthly cost they have acted in a deceptive manner.

The OP may have agreed to the monthly costs but this was on the understanding that the amount being financed did not include the £1000. It's a terrible excuse from the dealership coming back saying we achieved the monthly costs that you wanted (doing this by adding the £1000 back in despite saying we wouldn't).

Unless I have misunderstood.....which is quite possible.
