Putting an island over under floor heating

So when I get my kitchen installed I was planning on getting the UFH done after the kitchen is in place - so will not be tiling upto the walls. Do you think it would be better for me to tile where the island is going to be and not worry too much about the UFH?0

Once the units for the island are fixed together, with worktop on top, it's not going to move. This is how ours is done and it's sitting on top of the tiles.0

+1 for me. Our island is not fixed and does not move. The heat may not be such a problem as you fear. There is a large air gap under units. Perhaps vents would aid circulation? We have an island in our kitchen and it is not fixed to the floor in any way. It does have solid sides and a granite top - which it took two burly men to carry in - but it does not move, and has been in place for about 8 years now.
No underfloor heating, although we did have power run under the floor to the island.

is you underfloor heating electric or gas/hot water?0

Gas/hot water. In the end, we didn't fix the island to the floor. Fixed all of the units to each other, then once the quartz worktop was on top, and the end panels silicone into place at the bottom, it doesn't move.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
