Lovely, soothing 8 miles hike with DW on a circular route along the coast from our village. Totally no spend.
DW did some photogra-faffing and between us we got photos of seals, curlews, butterflies and insects and a crazy-ars*d goosander who vigorously and vainly preened herself for about 15 mins at high speed, almost as though she were being attacked by wasps.
Then home to an 89p pizza with our own toppings.

While out we saw some newly shawn sheep...which reminded me I needed a home haircut. :rotfl: The main disadvantage to a home haircut is the mess it makes. Hurrah for our secondhand Dyson!
And, washing out on the line.

Think I'm going to give up meat, but wouldn't be able to convince oh of that and protein is really important for dgd while she's growing as she is. Advice, tip & thoughts would be appreciated!
You can still get protein from eggs, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas, tofu and soy.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
determined wish I could get my food budget down somewhere near yours. Ours is (better than it was) but still crazy. I'm goi to try another method and have a completely separate account for it. I've done it before but not with a card to access it and it got a pain moving it all the time.
Anyway, I digress. Yours is very good and you shouldn't beat yourself up about it. If you still want meat could you meals that only require a small amount but goes far I.e. Risotto, pasty, fried rice.... I find the smallest amount of chicken can go in to a chicken and mushroom risotto and adding extra doesn't add anything to it apart from costsame with EFR, I use about 4 slices of wafer thin ham and 12 small cheap value prawns in our EFR for all 4 of us and it feels abundant with veggies and egg too. But costs less than £1 for the whole pot.
Also sent you a PM about something.

Day was really good and seeing bestie was amazing as always. Felt rubbish this morning, not sure if it was an allergy or summer cold but glad I didn't cry off as I feel so much better for it. Did everything on my list apart from post parcel, maybe DH will take pity on me tomrrow.
Man didn't call about plumbing though, might have to go elsewhere. Boo.
Really cold here tonight and momentarily had a fleeting thought about heating  then got over it and a) realised DH had all windows open when I got home and b) I wasn't wearing the warmest of clothes. So dug out my fluffy socks and put my pyjamas on and made a cuppa0 -
Evening all
Thanks for the start Ally, hope you have a good couple of days off
Relaxing day today, and I fully intend tomorrow to be the same, as I seem to be inundated with grandchildren for the rest of the week
Today's list, such as it is:
Waited in for a parcel to be delivered this morning (huge box with big rolls of bubble wrap)
HM meals from stores, stuffed overgrown courgettes for dinner today, halved lengthways, drizzled with olive oil and herbs and part roasted, before filling with a few teaspoons of chilli con carne and topping with some brie, served with spicy jacket potato wedges and French beans, almost all of it came from our garden :T
Wrapped and posted 3 ebay parcels
Sold 2 more items, though only one seems to have paid so far (again, still waiting for a sale made on Friday to be paid for as well )
Payday from sales unit - I sold exactly enough to cover the rent
Paperwork for business
Oh, and washed the floor a couple of times, as pup has a poorly tummy:eek:

When I used to cut DH's I used to do it in the garden (weather permitting) and then just put hair in compost bin (or it dispersed in the breeze:rotfl:)
