Aww natty so sorry sweetie xxx

Ok so glass man turned up but gone again as its been painted the wrong shade... Honestly - first it's not got a hole from r the socket, then it gets broken and now the new one is the wrong colour. Pfftt.

Ah well. Easier to deal with than a leaky conservatory roof which is also on my list. What with that and the cracked windscreen... Well I can do without any more hiccups this week!

At the moment we are sorting piles of colouring books and drawing paper... Yawn! Lol

Natty so sorry, such a hard thing. Hugs.

I've done bits and pieces today which don't seem to amount to much
    - bedlinen washed and on line
    - sun shone while I was hanging washing out, so went and harvested last of 1 row of peas and pulled up old plants. Decided not to do the other 3 rows as I should be doing other things.
    - Did a bit of tax return then got sidetracked by a phone call.

So, anyone up for a HHC to get my **** into gear?

I'm just back in from mils, all the gravel has been watered. Ds2 managed to get a huge pile of cuttings into the bin once it's emptied there's still about twice as much again to bin once is emptied. I think her water butts both have slow leaks, they are very old and rarely used now but both were less than half full. I need to keep an eye on them incase the inlets need taking off and the butts removing they are behind the garage right down the bottom of the garden so it's not a huge problem.

I'll do my kitchen once Dh has been fed and gone back to work.

  • Hi all,

Back from mum and dads and the paid stuff, so time to fly!

I'll start by pegging the washing out and doing the dailies. Then dog walk, and take the children to the park. Then I might try to do the level ones before its time to head off to swimming lessons .

Natty, big hugs, a hard decision to make but we do it because we love them x

Dizzy hope you are OK, and are keeping CY company on the sofa.

ATB hugs x ps I would possibly be up for a Yorkshire meet at some point

    Right. Must get on x

Phew; that was just over an hour's graft:
Wednesday Winging & Flinging ~ Bathroom and [STRIKE]Study/Pc Area[/STRIKE]Master bedroom
    Level One
[STRIKE]Clear floors of guff and stuff[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks
    [/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats[/STRIKE], nets, clean blind/curtains, shower curtains etc
    [STRIKE]Wipe down tiles in bathroom[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sweep and mop and deslop the floors in these rooms[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Collect all the dirty laundry[/STRIKE] 2nd washing load on
    Extra mission: Take your pick!
    Vacuumed bedroom and en suite
Polished 3 mirrors, towel rail and shower surround
Shook bedroom rugs out of the window apart from Mr N's which is covered with his birthday presents!
Did a reasonable job of dusting and de-webbing.

Had enough cleaning now, will take all rubbish downstairs and sort out recycling. Can't decide whether to go into town, yuk, or into the garden. On the 'town' side, I need to go and choose more glasses, and the apricots are still on offer at Ald1. On the 'garden' side, I can get the glasses tomorrow and the freezer is fairly full (including apricots) and the sun is shining.........I'll continue to procrastinate over lunch......and as it's now 2pm I know what the answer will be.

Going out with MIL for a meal this eve, wonder how she feels about her little boy being a Senior.....we can't get our heads round it; he was 27 when I met him and I was 19. Where did it all go?

Hugs for you Natty it's always hard to say goodbye.

Haven't started on the lists yet, but have been busy flinging stuff out.

DDs room is still a work in progress, more recycling and rubbish. Clothes for charity and clothes retrieved from under the bed, not sure whether clean or not so I've taken advantage of the good weather and washed them.

Done some baking - trying to stop the chorus of 'what can I have to eat'. This might work (I can hope!). I've got a couple of things left to make, but that's a job for later.

Right, digging out the list and having a bit of a go :)

(((Hugs))) to Natty. It's always hard to lose an old friend.

Dizzy, I hope you have been resting today.

ATB, please take care of yourself too.

Valli, I agree with lynne that you are a super sister.

    mrs-mp, I can't believe how much you've achieved this week :T

I have not been feeling well for the past 24 hours - it's one of my migraine attacks, despite all the codeine I've been taking for the foot pain - so I spent most of the morning asleep on the sofa. Flying today has consisted only of loading the DW and pulling the bed sheets straight. I have dipped into some books for the odd 5 minutes here and there.
DH is out playing trains and I'm not expecting him home until about 7 pm. I am going to lie down again now for a couple of hours in the hope of feeling a bit better this evening.

Got slightly distracted in the search for carpet in ds1s room lol there is now a pile of rubbish outside his door he can go through it when he gets in from work retrieve what he needs and I'll bag and bin the rest tonight. Packaging from spare room bagged with this weeks newspapers plus shredding done and bagged. Found a few bits to start a new CS bag off with and put butternut squashes in oven to bake ready to stuff for tea.

I'm going to do the surfaces and sweep and wash the floor now then have 10 mins with a coffee while it dries.

    Thinking of you natty.

    Edit
Thanks Iona, I felt like I'd neglected my kondoing with do the extra hours at work but once I got into the attic I found so much I needed to get rid of. Now the more space I discover the less I want clutter and junk in our home. I think we are all feeling so much better for it. The frog that is the bathroom will be addressed next week when my shiny new suite arrives I'm so looking forward to that.
There is still lots to fling so I've asked the bathroom guy to get a bigger skip than he needs and I'll pay the difference. There's junk in mils garage I want to get rid of and things in the shed that are just landfill fodder.
I'll never be minimalist but we will have breathing space.
