How can I tell if a seller and item is genuine

Hello
I've fallen in love with a Radley Lido bag and have seen it on eBay for over £30 cheaper than anywhere else. The seller is from outside the UK and has excellent feedback: 98.4% on on over 1000 items. Recent feedback is great.
I'm undecided. What are your thoughts please. Thanks in advance.

98.4 may not be excellent if the neg/neutrals are about fakes and 100% is the ONLY excellent in my book.
If you want a Radley bag, buy from Radley, or through an authorised reseller /outlet. Or in person.
If the seller is in China, run a mile.0 -
No way, if it's cheaper and current range and abroad very likely to be fake. Buy it from a reputable place and if you grow bored and wish to sell it it will be worth somethings as you have proof of purchase. If you buy its from somewhere unknown you don't have that0
-
And if you buy it from Radley themselves at the moment they have a sale and an extra 10 percent reduction ontop of that.0
-
Just because something is a lot cheaper does not make it automatically fake. Just because it is from aboard does not make it fake, but does make it more likely. You could buy in the UK and pay the RRP and still get a fake.
Really it comes down to whether you are willing to take a chance and if it is worth it. You'll be better off going to an outlet shopping village that has a Radley outlet. They will have genuine bags at a discount.0 -
I agree with theonlywayisup.
I always look carefully at feedback anyway, but if under 99% feedback on a high(er) volume I'd look very carefully at the feedback before possibly buying. I wouldn't consider it even very good at 98.4% nevermind excellent. As theonlywayisup says, 100% is the only excellent to me.
Also worth looking beyond the recent and at the items actually sold. They may have hundreds of recent feedback that's 100% positive, but if they're all completely different items (for example, cheap items where people don't care if they're fake or items far less likely to be fake) to what you're buying it doesn't really mean much. Older feedback may bring up sales for similar items that may not be so positive.
Also a quick glance at the positives may show not all are as positive as they seem, although the same can go for negatives and neutrals too.
When it comes to valuable items that are often faked the best option is buy from direct from the companies or from authorised resellers.
Far as the price goes, sometimes you can get a bargain, other times it's too good to be true.0 -
Is this the seller? (Feedback score is 98.4 as mentioned in the opening post)

If it is, I would be wondering how a seller based in Lithuania had 60 of the same limited edition bag for sale.0 -

Yes, it is and I wondered that myself. I can't understand it. Why would he sell at such a huge loss?! Makes no sense! I've decided to buy from the official Radley site. Thanks for your help and advice; very much appreciated. :A0 -
Some rather interesting other items they are listing:eek:
These are stock photos they are using for the bag. Ask them to take their own photos- interesting to see what they say....
ive sometimes used stock photos , because it's a quick way to list ,and their photos are better( yes I know you are not supposed to) but I always enclose my own item photo too.
Also they won't deliver the bags to France? Is that because France brought court cases against ebay for fake bags?0 -

Thank you, I've just had a look at his other items!! Oh. My!! I'm at a loss to understand, why so many have ordered from him...0 -
Read the Negs, all saying either Fake or not the item they ordered arriving or even not arriving at all. So in other words you order the Lido and get a totally different bag.0
