Nationwide Flexdirect account opening turnaround time?

We went in branch to open three, to 'save time' as they require you to visit where a joint account is involved.


We opened my account, then the system went down part way through the joint account process. As my husband was on holiday that week and there were no more slots that week, we have to wait for a slot next Saturday, as he can't visit during office hours....so no time saved.


I'm just hoping they don't drop the fix from 5% before then.

Interest in but I hate the annoying way they take back a 1p overpayment of interest. Three of us have this account but only two of us had the 1p taken back. My one year was up on the 25th July so it is probably time to close so I can open next year, but I have a flexclusive regular saver and as my flexaccount is joint, am I right in assuming I will have to keep it open until 31st December when interest is paid on the regular saver.
